Over the years the food delivery services in Jamaica has grown tremendously, especially since the start of the Covid 19 pandemic. Granted, there are many faults with this service industry, one of the major issues being that most food delivery companies do not deliver in rural areas.

Although there are quite a few food delivery service companies on the island, many of them operate in and around the more developed towns and cities and not all of them have apps you can use. For some, orders are made through WhatsApp until they are able to have a fully functioning app or website to use.
With that being said though, in most rural areas, you will find small cookshops that hire bikers to deliver food to customers in the surrounding areas.
Another disadvantage is that if you travel around the island a lot, you will need more than one delivery service app. Many of the Jamaican food delivery service companies only operate in 1 or two parishes. As a matter of fact, there are many parishes with no official food delivery services at all.
Despite that, if you are ever stuck trying to get food, whether you are at a hotel or guest house and would prefer something different or you would just prefer staying in, depending on your location, you may have a few options available to you.
So here are 6 of the most popular Jamaican food delivery services you can try.
Ordaz Express offers food delivery services from over 50 restaurants and 30 different cuisines. They are one of the largest restaurant delivery services and can be found operating in Kingston, Portmore, Spanish Town, Ocho Rios and Montego Bay. To order from them, all you need to do is visit their website, www.ordazexpressja.com, select a restaurant and place your order. You can choose to also sign up for their weekly delivery subscription of $1500 or simply pay the driver each time you order through them.
They can be contacted by Telephone: (876) 771-5755 or Email: mail@ordazexpressja.com.
Previously known as Quickplate, this Jamaican food delivery service company started its operations in 2016. What started as delivery services from just 5 companies has grown tremendously throughout the years. They now offer food delivery services in Montego Bay and Kingston from almost 100 restaurants.
Some of the popular restaurants they provide delivery services from are Usain Bolt Tracks and Records, Mother’s and Pelican Grill. You can order online, pay online and also track your order through their website. They deliver between the hours of 9 am and 7:15 pm.
They can be contacted at 876-960-0216.
This is quite a popular food delivery service, especially in the Kingston area. They offer delivery services in Kingston, St. Andrew and Portmore. They deliver from a wide range of restaurants and cater to all types of diets. You can even start the process of selecting your restaurant by looking for the type of food you want whether vegan, Italian, Jamaican, fast-food, dessert and so many other options. They also have a mobile app that will even allow you to schedule when you want your food delivered.
To contact them send an email to admin@7krave.com or download their mobile app on Google Play or the Apple Store.
This mobile food delivery app can be downloaded on any android or apple device. It was launched in 2018, and they offer food delivery in and around Kingston. The app features customizable menu options, secure payments, real-time updates and tracking.
You can also use the app to schedule deliveries in advance or to add money to your Pekkish wallet instead of paying with your debit or credit card each time you use the app. They operate between the hours of 7 am and 11 pm.
Hugo is one of the newer food delivery services in Jamaica, although they have been in operation since 2017 in the Dominican Republic and some countries in South America. In Jamaica, they started servicing Kingston and its surrounding areas in 2021, before adding Montego Bay and Portmore to the list. They are now one of the most popular food delivery services, especially in the Montego Bay area.
Their very user-friendly app can be downloaded from Google Play or Apple Store. You can use the Hugo app to place and track your order from popular fast-food restaurants, for example, a Jamaican favourite, KFC. They have a partnership with KFC, where if you order through the Hugo app, your delivery service charge is reduced.
Errand Express offers food delivery in and around the city of Montego Bay. You can place your orders online or download their mobile app which will also allow you to track your order status. You can browse restaurants based on the type of cuisine such as Jamaican or Chinese.
If you are a vegetarian, you can also see what restaurants are available to you. Some of the popular restaurants they have partnered with are KFC and Burger King. This means if you order through the app, delivery services are sometimes cheaper.
Errand Express also has a rewards program for its customers. Your points can accumulate and be used to pay for a percentage of your order.
To contact Errand Express, call 8768334101 or email info@errandexpressja.com.
While the options may be quite limited in certain areas, it is good to see that the Jamaican food delivery service industry has finally been tapped into and is expected to continue growing. So, if you are ever in a bind, give these delivery services a try. Here are a few grocery stores that you can get your deliveries from as well.
