Of course, you can always expect seafood fresh from the ocean! While Jamaica has no shortage of incredible beachside dining spots, here are my top 10 favourites that never disappoint.

1. Pier 1

If you’re looking for a mix of great food and an electric atmosphere, Pier 1 is the place to be. This open-air seafood spot has been a Montego Bay staple since 1986, offering stunning bay views and a lively nightlife scene. With live entertainment, DJ nights, and a menu full of fresh seafood, Pier 1 is the perfect spot to enjoy the best of Jamaica’s coastal dining.

Location: Howard Cooke Blvd, Montego Bay

2. Little Ochie Seafood Restaurant & Bar

Little Ochie is an experience! Nestled in the fishing village of Alligator Pond, this rustic seafood joint serves up some of the best fresh fish, crab, and lobster you’ll find. Your meal is cooked over an open fire, and you can even dine in one of their signature thatch-roofed boats on the sand. It’s a must-visit for authentic Jamaican seafood lovers.

Location: Alligator Pond P.O, Alligator Pond Dist.

3. Ribbiz Ocean Lounge

Kingston isn’t just about city life, Ribbiz Ocean Lounge gives you a taste of the capital with a side of sea views. Located on the waterfront, this stylish lounge is perfect for cocktails, good food, and live music. Whether you’re sipping a rum punch or digging into their famous seafood pasta, this spot brings Kingston’s energy to the water’s edge.

Location: Victoria Pier, Ocean Blvd, Kingston

4. Marina Palms Restaurant & Bar

Tucked away in Montego Bay’s Wild Card Charter Yacht Club, Marina Palms offers a relaxed yet elegant dining experience. The menu is a mix of local and international flavours, with seafood as the star. Whether you’re stopping by for breakfast, lunch, or a sunset dinner, the views are guaranteed to impress.

Location: Sunset Dr, Montego Bay

5. House Boat Grill

Dining on an actual houseboat? Yes, please! The House Boat Grill offers a one-of-a-kind experience in Montego Bay, where you can enjoy your meal on the Moon Deck with the water all around you. The international menu features fresh seafood, and the setting is as romantic as it gets.

Location: Alice Eldemire Dr, Montego Bay

6. Sky Beach Bar & Seafood Grill

This hidden gem in Hopewell is all about rustic charm and fresh flavours. Sky Beach offers private dining huts, open-air seating, and some of the best-grilled seafood you’ll find on the island. Whether you go for the jerk shrimp or the steamed fish, it’s always a hit.

Location: Main Street, Hopewell, Montego Bay

7. Miss Lily’s at Skylark

Miss Lily’s brings a modern twist to classic island flavours. Located at Skylark Negril Beach Resort, this vibrant beachside eatery is famous for its jerk meats, fresh seafood, and reggae-fueled nightlife. Grab a rum cocktail and enjoy the laid-back but lively atmosphere.

Location: Norman Manley Blvd, Negril

8. Sugar Mill Restaurant

If you’re in the mood for something a bit more upscale, Sugar Mill is the perfect choice. Set against the backdrop of a historic sugar mill, this restaurant blends Caribbean and international flavours into a fine dining experience. It’s the ideal spot for a romantic night out in Montego Bay.

Location: Spring Farm Dr., Rose Hall, Montego Bay

9. Jack Sprat Restaurant & Bar

Jack Sprat is the ultimate chill spot in Treasure Beach. It’s where locals and visitors gather for fresh seafood, jerk pizza, and beach bonfires. The vibe is always lively, with great music and a breezy oceanfront deck that makes every meal feel like a mini vacation.

Location: Treasure Beach, St. Elizabeth

10. Gloria’s Seafood City

Port Royal has a long history of pirates and adventure, and Gloria’s is where you go for legendary seafood in this historic town. The escovitch fish and curried shrimp are local favourites, and the laid-back vibe makes it the perfect spot for a relaxed seaside meal.

Location: 5 Queen St, Port Royal

Jamaica’s beachfront restaurants offer more than just a meal, they give you an experience. Whether you’re looking for a romantic candlelit dinner by the waves or a lively seafood feast with friends, there’s a spot for every vibe. So, next time you’re in Jamaica, pull up a chair, sip on a tropical cocktail, and let the island’s flavours take you on a journey.
