As you know by now, the novel Coronavirus has taken the world like a storm, well COVID19 storm!
Not only disrupting regular life but causing deaths, immeasurable fear, confusion and panic to peoples of the world!
And here in Jamaica, it is no different!
In the early days, we had anxious moments watching the developments, particularly in China, up to the time of the alleged case late January, hoping it would not reach our shores.
New! Take a piece of Jamaica with you💃!
Savour the memories! Now you can get your authentic Jamaican souvenir items, as well as traditional Jamaican herbs, spices and housewares on our popular e-store. Click Here to learn more.
And, if you ever need a trustworthy and knowledgeable local guide, consider booking a private tour with us!
But things took a major turn on March 10 when our worst fears were realized! The Health Ministry confirmed that we recorded our first case (an imported case) of the virus.
One (1) turned into two (2), two in eight (8), eight into ten (10) and then the numbers continued to grow.
The government, we believe, have been trying to manage the situation the best they probably can, but in many cases, there are still gross confusion, panic and anxiety.
Quite understandably, some persons have been seeking more guidance and direction.
Your's truly have been tracking the developments, since January 31 when the Minister Of Health dispelled rumours that there was a case here.
And the tracking of the novel coronavirus is great - based on feedback given. But it created another 'novel' idea (pardon my pun) - A mini-forum!
I call it the Covid19 Support Forum!
Now, this is true community spirit and support at its best!
