Giant Jamaica
Contest Entry #016 - Giant Jamaica
Jamaica celebrated their 50th anniversary, this year and as a result, numerous activities and celebrations were done under the theme, 'Jamaica 50'.
I took this photo at the opening of the Courts location in Constant Spring on December 7, 2012 which was also based on the Jamaica 50 theme.
This picture illustrates a dexterous man on sticks dancing and carrying on, which was exciting to most viewers, as the dancing man on sticks showed great skills.
I have labeled the man on the sticks "Giant Jamaica". In other words the Giant represents the plethora of achievements that Jamaica as attained over the 50 years. Hence the patois statement โlikkle but wi Tallawah.โ
We have performed exceeding well in the areas of culture, arts and sports among others and that has placed us on top of the world like the man on sticks.
Jamaican high and mighty and I look up with admiration and respects.
