My two favourite things in Negril are its laid-back vibe and the wide variety of accommodation types available. Located on Negril’s most famous beach, the White Sands Negril falls into the simple, budget-friendly category.

The forty-five-room hotel has 7 types of accommodation: the standard room garden side, garden side kitchenette, one bedroom apartment, junior suite, deluxe room, beachside superior, and standard room beachside.
The resort has two “sides” separated by Norman Manley Boulevard. The first two accommodations are on the “garden side”, and the last five are on the “beachside” of the resorts. The garden side has a pool.
Most rooms do not have TVs. If this is essential to your trip, book a one-bedroom apartment or Junior Suite.
The menu at White Sands Negril varies. The family-run boutique hotel prides itself on not offering the traditional hotel experience of buffet lines.
In the morning the offering is mainly an American Breakfast of eggs, toast, pancakes, waffles or a breakfast sandwich with tea, coffee or orange juice.
More authentic Jamaican dishes begin to appear for midday, With a few fusion dishes. Curried or jerk chicken and oxtail are staples here, often served with rice and vegetable salads. Burgers and grilled chicken are two other types of dishes often served for lunch.
Dinner can be Jamaican, Italian-inspired a fusion dish such as the linguini seafood in Jamaican creole sauce or a whole steamed snapper with your choice of side.
All these meals and the delicious cocktails that accompany them are prepared by the Indies 957 restaurant on the property.
The hotel is not all-inclusive; as such, you will be required to pay for each meal. Your most expensive meal of the day will most likely be dinner which can cost between USD 9 and 30.
Airport transfers are not complementary, but White Sands Negril will arrange them for you if you’d like. You are required to fill out the form on their website (which I must say is quite user-friendly), to confirm the reservation.
It is also required that transport services be pre-paid and that it be confirmed at least 10 days before your flight.
The transfers are only arranged by White Sands the drivers are not employed by the hotel. However, they have done their due diligence in ensuring those drivers they choose to partner with are licenced and insured.
The prices on the site are only for a one-way transfer. You are encouraged to wait until you arrive to book your return transfer which will be a separate cost than the one you paid for your pick-up.
The standard cost for 1-2 persons is currently $85, each additional passenger is $30. Children between 1 and 5 are free, 6-15 are at discounted costs and older teens will pay the same price as adults.
Cancellations done at least 24 hours before your travel date, will warrant no charges and you will receive a full refund.
White Sands Negril Jamaica is the perfect jump-off point for your adventure in Negril, especially with its location being on Norman Manley Boulevard. Where would you like to go first?
