Trip Advisor, one of the most popular travelling and booking website, placed Jamaica at the #1 position in the 2018 Best Destination in the Caribbean list!

In addition, Jamaica was also ranked 14th in the 2018 Best Destination in the World. These rankings were based on the quality and quantity of traveller’s reviews, hotel ratings, restaurant ratings and attraction ratings.

While we are extremely honoured to receive such a prestigious accolade, it doesn’t come as a surprise. If we were to list all the magnificent hotels and resorts, amazing restaurants and beautiful attractions that Jamaica has to offer, we'd probably need to create several articles.

The island has been noted as an preferred destination for people of all ages and personality and that include young adults.

Young adults, which are typically individuals who are between the ages of 18-35 years, are common vacationers to the island. These persons are enticed by all the bars, clubs, nightlife, music and entertainment that the island has to offer.

If you’re a young adult wondering where to stay for your vacation here in Jamaica, I’m guessing that you’re probably planning a small vacations with friends or planning to attend an event; perhaps Rebel Salute or Reggae Sumfest?

Whatever the case, you’ve definitely chosen the best spot in the Caribbean!

So when I thought about a suitable hotel and resort for young adults, I thought about what young adults like to do.

And these activities came first to mind... correct me if I am wrong :-)

• Going to concerts
• Enjoying the beach
• Night out at clubs and bars
• waterparks
• Going to carnivals
• Having a night out with friends
• and list goes on.



So with all this in mind, I figured I'd recommend accommodations that have all these offerings, or are in close proximity to where these activities are available.


So with that in mind, here are some hand-picked hotels and resorts (randomly listed).

1. Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton Resort & Spa
   
   This all-inclusive resort located in Lucea, Hanover is one that encompasses all the amenities and facilities of a luxurious and modern-day hotel, yet still holds true to the Jamaican flare of turquoise waters and beautiful vegetation.
   
   The hotel host a wide variety of activities and entertainment to keep young adults occupied throughout their stay.
   
   The resort offers activities and games in the main pool and on the beach and shows and games can be viewed nightly at the theatre. The hotel also has a club. The Boogie Woogie night club is fully air-conditioned and runs between 11 pm and 2 am.
   
   If you fancy sports, the Grand Palladium also offers a wide range of sporting facilities and amenities. Aerobics, aqua-gym, ping-pong, waterpolo, tennis, volleyball, basketball, soccer, darts, golf and archery are some of the sports that can be enjoyed at the hotel.
   
   Multiple pools, numerous restaurants, bars and a shopping area makes the Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton Resort & Spa an excellent place for young adults to stay.
   
   The hotel is also just 25 mins from Montego Bay, where Margaritaville, Pier 1 and several other hot party spots are located, so travelling to and from the second-city isn’t that difficult.

2. ClubHotel Riu Ocho Rios
   
   Known for its non-stop party atmosphere, the ClubHotel Riu Ocho Rios is one of the largest all-inclusive hotel in the tourist destination. The hotel is located Mammee Bay, Ocho Rios a very peaceful and tranquil area.
   
   Some amenities offered at the hotel are: fresh water pool, a Jacuzzi, sauna and a Renova Spa Wellness Centre.
   
   For all the foodies, the property’s restaurant has a wide range of cuisines. The hotel offers an exclusive 24h All-inclusive system, so it’s non-stop fun and excitement.
   
   The hotel is also in close proximity to some of Ocho Rios popular attractions Dunns River Falls and Dolphins Cove.

3. Jewel Paradise Cove Resort & Spa Runaway Bay
   
   If you love the beach and getting wet in general, then Jewel Paradise Cove Resort & Spa Runaway Bay is an excellent place to stay.
   
   The hotel’s property includes a beautiful white-sand beach and three pools. Relax in a lounger and read your favourite novel. Or order a few drinks at the swim-up bar near the pool.
   
   Entertainment wise, the hotel offers beach- and poolside movies and live music and entertainment nightly! They also offer water sporting activities and a glass bottom boat.

4. Iberostar Rose Hall Beach Hotel
   
   Iberostar Rose Hall Beach Hotel has been noted as one of the most affordable hotel in the Montego Bay area. But, affordability showed not be interpreted as an unavailability of engaging amenities.
   
   The hotel houses four restaurants, four bars, casino, nightclub, theatre, massive pool with swim-up bar, spa, Hydrotherapy and a host of other amenities and free activities. As a result of all these amazing amenities the hotel is usually crowded. But, this doesn’t diminish the quality of its service.

5. Hedonism II
   
   The Hedonism philosophy is one that views pleasure as the most important pursuit of man.
   
   This is the viewpoint that fuels this Negril located hotel. Hedonism II is an adult-only accommodation that is described as place to unleash your basic instinct and where the word “no” is virtually non-existent.
   
   Like any hotel it has a wide variety of amenities and activities to keep you occupied. But, this hotel is world renowned as a nudist resort. “Take a nude vacation and be no one but your beautiful self” is one of the many advertisement tagline for the resort.
   
   But if you’re a prude you’ve got no worries. Their two different sections at this resort, one for the prude and another for the nude.
   
   Hold on, did I mention that the hotel is planted on the famous Negril’s Seven Mile Beach? The possibilities…

6. Sunscape Splash Montego Bay
   
   While many may classify this as a family destination, activities such as late-night parties, drinking contest and the presence of a nude beach (yes, another one) makes it a perfect destination for young adults.
   
   This resort complex includes 7 restaurants, 5 bars, 3 pools , 3 beaches and a water park. Despite the fantastic amenities, the appearance of the hotel is said to lack luxury. However, it is an excellent accommodation for those working with a budget.

Although these hotels and resorts were the first to be recommended, they are just a drop in the bucket, there are much more here on offer! So you are not limited :-)
