I never go to any of the tourist areas when I come.

My fiance is there and we always stop at the little shops along the streets or little bars on the beaches.

We found the best ackee and salt-fish at a tiny place in Salem, Runnaway Bay, St. Ann, and a man down the street who makes conch soup every Thursday.

I tell everyone to try the food vendors for the best food and the real taste of Jamaica!

When travelling between Ocho Rios and Spanish Town you have to stop at the curbside market known as Faith's Pen.

There you will find the largest selection of roadside food vendors in one spot offering the widest variety of Jamaican food for the traveler.

You may have a hard time making up your mind as you wander from booth to booth.

Thank you Iris, for this positive review of the local food vendors! They're one of my absolute favorite things about the island. And you can't beat their prices for the great food flavor - cow foot soup makes my whole world better!
