Hi friends and partners!

I received a special invitation from Stephanie Treasure, a personal friend, to attend this interesting Jamaica Blog Party, and I couldn't wait!

A bit about me?

Well, I'm Wellesley Gayle, author and publisher of this website (www.my-island-jamaica.com.

I've been sharing my passion for Jamaica for the last four years. And, not only has it been extremely profitable for me, it has open new doors for me.

For example, I've gotten the opportunity to meet some wonderful people from all across the globe (yes, including Stephanie lol).

I've gotten sponsorships to contest, accommodation at some of the nicest places, received special features in the press (eg. The Gleaner), but more importantly it has provided me the opportunity to slowly become an authority on "Jamaican" information... I'm loving this!

I open to networking and learning more about the internet, so I look forward to meeting others with like passion :-) . You can read a bit more about me here.

Hi there Wellesley! Thank you again for attending the Jamaica Blog Party. However, I knew you would come. After all, I think that you are my BVF (Best Virtual Friend). Our (Virtual) friendship is a testament to the power of the Internet, blogging in particular to bring people together.

It has been a few years since you and I connected through the Internet and still have not met in person, lol!

Continue to do what you do here on this website and blog. Share passionately about what the beautiful Island of Jamaica has to offer. And continue to encourage the many happy visitors through your contests and other areas of the website to do the same.
