Sailing the Caribbean Seas - Jamaica Rhapsody
Photo Contest Entry #10 -Sailing the Caribbean Seas - Jamaica Rhapsody
This photo was taken in 1994, by my husband Andrew Hernandez, who was sailing his Trimaran with "spar", Richard Harker(in the photo).
They started sailing from the Jamaica Yacht Club, and were enjoying a nice sunny, seafaring journey to Pigeon Island.
In this photo, they started sailing south past Lime Cay, looking back towards Port Royal on the right, Downtown Kingston on the left, and in the background is the majestic Blue Mountain. Such a beautiful, panoramic view of land, mountain, sea and sky!
I am intrigued by the silhouette of the topography, the mild waves , the solemnity of this particular moment, Richard's calm demeanor and oneness with Nature.
Most of all, I sense that this sailing experience amidst such beauty can only make music in our hearts, refresh our minds and delight our soul.
Sailing the Caribbean Seas is indeed a Jamaica Rhapsody! Sail on!
