I am Jamaican born; raised in Kingston 11. I grew up with one sister and two brothers.
I love my country very much. There are times I wonder why did I ever leave Jamaica but it's a pleasure coming home every year.
I love the food especially the fish and Bammie, Festival, Jerks, ackee and saltfish with fried dumplings, bwoy mi mouth just waterery now.
Attractions, not very much I just mingle around and about Kingston.
When I am there in Jamaica on vacation, all my troubles in the USA dissapears, the subways to and from work, the bills, traffic and more.
Anyway I love Jamaica! My schools days were marvelous, I was a very busy child and got into trouble all the time in Primary school, but nothing compare to now what these children are getting into.
I found my-island-jamaica.com while surfing one day for information on Jamaica. I think Wellesley is doing a marvelous job. There are things on the website I didn't even know although I grew up in Jamaica.
My tip on vacationing in Jamaica is: enjoy every moment that you are there, eat all you can and have fun because when the day comes for you to leave Jamaica you get very depressed.
One thing for sure that I can say to really, really enjoy Jamaica us you need to have a real cool companion :-)
Wellesley, keep up the good work until some day we meet in person.
