JCDC Miss St. Elizabeth Festival Queen Coronation 2013

This is a pre-mother's day treat! Alpart Sports Club in St. Elizabeth (St. Bess), Jamaica comes alive on Saturday, May 11, 2013 for the crowning of the JCDC Miss St. Elizabeth Festival Queen 2013.

Come see 11 beautiful, intelligent and talented ladies battle for one crown and the chance to represent the bread basket parish of St. Elizabeth at the national title of Miss Jamaica Festival Queen 2013.

Our ladies will be serenaded by the soulful & sensual Chris Demontague !!!!!

There will also be a special guest performer who has given us hits like: "Are you coming over tonight", "I’m a rebel" & "Haffi come back" . Yes, of course "Cherine" will be tearing down the house !!!!!!

For those visitors who will be in Jamaica at this time and looking for something cultural, exciting and fun – truly Jamaican, this type of activity is it!

The ladies are judged on Cultural Awareness, Leadership, Community Involvement and their presentations in areas of the Performing Arts.

The winners for each of the parishes in Jamaica move on to the national finals, usually in Kingston between April and May.

Last year the overall national received a prize package valued at over $1.5 million which included 2007 Nissan March, cash of $300,000.00 and Bedroom Set along with other consolation prizes. The other contestants also won several sectional prizes which included cash and trophies.

The Miss Jamaica Festival Queen Competition is one of the JCDC’s signature events that attracts young women between the ages of 18 and 25 years.
