I was born a year after that. His name is Charles A. Haynes, and his Mother's name is Janet Haynes. He should be around 52/53 years old now.

Dad often talks of him, and only saw him shortly after his birth, as his Mother,(as told by my Dad's Sister), took him back to Jamaica.

I was born in Kingston, Jamaica on 1st December 1955 to a Jamaican mother and a British father.

My father had been posted to Jamaica with the British Army. He met my mother, then I was conceived, then they married on 4th June 1955 six months before I was born.

When I was 18 months old my father was posted back to England and we sailed there as a family never to return to Jamaica.

I have no recollection of Jamaica except for the stories my parents have told me about it.

I do not feel Jamaican, although I do look part Jamaican. My mother was an only child and her mother was never married so I do not know of my Jamaican relations apart from the surname Muschett/Muschette, which belonged to my mother's father.

It has always been a closed book and I fear I will never know much about this side of me.

Ive been searching for my fathers relatives for some time. His name is Webster George Dennis born in Kingston 1931 to Rosetta Williams and Eric Dennis. They resided at Regent Street, Allman Town, Kingston. His brother,Milton Joseph Dennis was born abt.1943.
Rosetta is believed to have originated from Manchester, while Eric from St Ann's. They had connections to Ivan and John Dixon whom resided at Halfway Tree.
Rosetta Williams worked as a domestic servant, while Eric Dennis worked at a Soap Factory in Kingston.
My father, Webster left for the UK in 1956 and lost contact with his family in the late 60s. My mother wrote to them in the late70s only to have the mail returned, with a note that they may have been re-housed elsewhere in Kingston.

D.C. at one time worked in a store on King Street, The Buzzer, and lived on Telephone Street or Little Telephone Street in Brown's Town and was also an excellent kite maker. I understand he is in New York and now involved with Gospel music, perhaps working as a DJ.
