You will find that most accommodations and attractions within Ocho Rios prioritises and caters to the entire family. Here are some fun things you can do in Ocho Rios with the entire family:

Dunn’s River Falls and Beach

The most popular attraction in Ocho Rios is without a doubt Dunn's River Falls. Climbing these falls is a necessity if you wanted to experience just one of these excursions in Ocho Rios with kids.

However because the rocks can be slippery it is best for adults and teens, but definitely do not recommend for young children. There is a splash pad available for younger children. Additionally, there is a beach and a freshwater pool as well.

Margaritaville and Beach

There are three locations on the island and is mostly known for its hopping nighttime parties. During the daytime, it is a fun spot for tasty drinks and locally inspired dishes for both adults and children.

It is situated in Island Village across from Ocho Rios Bay Beach. Because it is tranquil and very shallow, the Margaritaville beach is a great pit break for families with small non-swimmers if you're staying in Ocho Rios with children.

There is a water trampoline and a 60-foot slide for even more fun.

Konoko Falls and Mini Zoo

Another magnificent cascading waterfall, Konoko Falls and Park is tucked away in the serene Ocho Rios hills. Your tour will start with a stroll through a verdant botanical garden before you descend steeply to the base of the falls.

There is a 200-step staircase next to the waterfall that takes you to the base of the falls, where the climb begins. After your guided ascent of the falls, you'll visit the museum, mini-zoo, and bird aviary.

Visitors can learn about a variety of species, including turtles, tortoises, crocodiles, iguanas, snakes, and a vast range of unusual birds, as well as have a really engaging experience. This makes a great excursion for the entire family.

Dolphin Cove

If you have kids and are travelling to Ocho Rios, Dolphin Cove is a fantastic adventure. Dolphin Cove offers encounters with dolphins that take place in a natural cove as opposed to a man-made pool.

There are several different dolphin connection opportunities as well as close-up shark encounters from which to choose. Family members can pay an admission fee to tag along on their trip even if they don't willing to buy an encounter.

Dolphin Cove admission offers access to the beach, the pool, the Jungle Trail walk with a miniature zoo, and snorkelling with stingrays.

White River Tubing

In the Ocho Rios region, floating down the rugged White River in big tubes is another popular way to spend a morning or an afternoon. The water is chilly and crystal clear high in the hills above Ocho Rios.

Look out at the green mosaic of ferns, banana trees, and bamboo thickets that climb the banks of this serpentine canal like ivy climbs a wall while you take in the high-pitched call of the yellow banana quit bird.

One of the many excursions provided by reputed Jamaican outfitter Chukka Caribbean Adventures is the River Tubing Safari.

Coyaba River Garden and Museum

At Coyaba Gardens & Mahoe Falls in Jamaica, unwind and enjoy the lovely sights and sounds of Ocho Rios Bay.

Explore the exquisite Jamaican Spanish architecture, the Mahoe waterfalls, and the Museum of Island History with your family. Open every day from 8 am to 5 pm.

Turtle River Park

If you want to have a chill day surrounded by nature then you and your entire family will love Turtle River Park. there are many seats and tables available plus plenty of lawn space for the perfect picnic day with the family. The children will enjoy watching and feeding the turtles as well.

You also have the option of just staying on your resort property and enjoying the numerous amenities they have in store. Most resorts have a substantial amount of activities for both adults and children, most having additional children and teen clubs as well.
