Mandeville in Manchester, Jamaica is not a tourist hotspot, not by a long shot. Because of this, the town isn’t big on huge chain resorts with luxurious amenities. Instead, there are a few hotel options perfect for the visitor who would like to “live among the locals” for as much of their trip as possible.

1. The Mandeville Hotel

The Mandeville Hotel, one of the oldest hotels in mandeville, is located in the centre of the very busy town, a fact you’ll forget as soon as you enter your tranquil hotel accommodations. The hotel has five-room and suite accommodations:

One-bedroom Suite - features a spacious living and dining area including a kitchenette outfitted with a refrigerator and a microwave. The living room sofa can be converted to another sleeping area to accommodate an additional guest.

The bedroom has a queen-sized bed, an en suite, air conditioning and cable TV. The bedroom features an en suite bathroom, a queen-size bed, air conditioning, a ceiling fan and cable television.

• Junior Suite -  the junior room has a King-sized bed, en suite bathroom and balcony that provides a pool view. The room includes a refrigerator, coffee maker, TV, AC, ceiling fan and complimentary Wi-Fi.
  
  
• Superior Room - Superior rooms feature two double beds, AC, ceiling fan, a full en suite, a coffee maker and Cable TV.
  
  
• Honeymoon Suite - Antique four-poster bed with Jamaican pineapple design, en suite bathroom, air conditioning and cable television. The suite also includes a separate living room area with a kitchenette.
  
  
• Two-bedroom apartment - While all the rooms can accommodate a long term stay, the two-bedroom is perfect for this or for larger families or groups travelling together. It includes living and dining areas, a kitchenette, full bathrooms, a patio or balcony, ceiling fans and cable television.

Dining At Mandeville Hotel

At the Mandeville Hotel, you will have two dining options to choose from. The Arches is the main restaurant which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Room service is also available from this restaurant.

Then, there is the Manchester Arms Pub which offers lighter menu options throughout the evening.

• Manchester Arms Pub: 5:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.

2. Golf View Hotel

The Golf View Hotel gives an exceptional view of one of Jamaica’s oldest and most renowned golf courses, the Mandeville Golf Course. They have standard and deluxe rooms as well as one and two-bedroom suites.

To get the available rates and reservations all you have to do is contact the hotel. Children under twelve who are sharing with an adult are free and a third person can be accommodated in 1 bedroom or deluxe suites for an additional cost.

Each of the 75 rooms includes:

• Fresh Fruit Juice or Home Baked Cookies Upon Arrival
• Complimentary Coffee & Tea Provided for Our Early Morning Risers
• Complimentary Wireless Internet Access

Golf  View is also able to execute your special celebrations whether it is your wedding ceremony and reception, anniversary or birthday. The conference facilities are also available for use for large functions.

3. Tropics View Hotel

Tropics View has 5 accommodation types to choose from. They are the:

What are the check-in and check-out times at Tropics View Hotel?

Check-in is at 3 PM and check-out is at 11 PM.

These hotels are not all-inclusive which means the cost for dining is not included in the cost of accommodation.

Activities and Attractions

Mandeville is a great central place to stay especially if you are planning to have a prolonged visit to the island. Not only will you be able to visit all the tourist hotspots but you will be incredibly close to Jamaica's underexplored South Coast. The South Coast is home to many beautiful attractions, restaurants and eateries that deserve to be seen.
