Happy New Year! From My Family To Yours!

As you probably know, this web site is extremely close to me.

And why so you asked?

Well, I love my country, and I love to share it, and so you'd have realized that I share almost everything, about Jamaica and about me (and family as well).

But I've also met some wonderful persons and developed some amazing relationships along the way (since 2007); many of who (some here), became great friends - and even visited my home here in Montego Bay!

This 'Jamaica' community by the way, is now well over 10,000 email subscribers, plus an additional 10,000 social media fans (facebook, twitter, instagram) and growing!

Truly a humbling experience!

So from my family to you, and indeed all my other ardent site fans, I say a HEARTY thank you for been a part of our community...

For your questions, comments, recommendations and written submissions/contributions (including the recent photo contest), and readership, I say...

A DOUBLE thank you!

In your own way you contributed to making a now invaluable resource for Jamaica information.

And so, as we cross over into the new year...

A very Happy, Healthy, Prosperous and Blessed 2017 to you and your beautiful family.
I have been a ardent reader of yours for quite a while I do appreciate all the amazing and inspiring information you share with us.

I left Jamaica at the age of 15...I'm now 1 month shy of 74. Have been visiting Ja. my "home" since 1966. Iv'e seen the changes over the years.
Remarkable. Jamaica is to me the most beautiful Island in the Carribbean as well as the most progressive.Sometimes I can't believe it's "my little Jamaica.

Anyway again...thank you and please continue the awesome work.
You have opened up my eyes to places I never knew existed there.

My family lived in Kingston. Husband,Jack was Peace Corps director and our 7 kids went to 5 different schools. I volunteered for different organizations. Our oldest son married his Jam. sweetheart---have been back a few times and really want to come again!--We were there from 1966 to 1968--the Marley, Manley,Seaga years---

Howdy, Wellesley and a wonderful Sunday morning to you. It is 1/8/2017 and the time is 1:42 AM. I am sitting her listening to Jimmy Cliff and remembering all my yester years in Jamaica.

I want to send a special belated New Year greetings to you and your family and thank you for having this avenue here for us to look back on and remember happier times in our country and in our lives.

We wish all our friends in Jamaica a Joyous & Safe New Year. We have already celebrated New Year 10 hours ago. It is only 5.55 pm in Kingston (a 16 hours difference between Sydney and Kingston).

2016....was a very rough year for me, but through it all...I have learned to depend on His Words.

Father God.....I pray for all my families and friends....As we enter 2017, I pray and declare God's incredible blessings over our lives. Father, we thank You for each and every day You have blessed us here on earth....Thank You for Your tender mercies.

Thank You for giving us friends and family to share joys and sorrows with....Where there is joy, give them continued joy.
