While it is not a tourist destination, it is laid back area with quite a few unique attractions. If you are planning on visiting the area, the Golf View Hotel should definitely be on your list of possible accommodations.

The oldest golf course in the Caribbean is just next to Golf View, which also has a view of the surroundings and expansive greenery. All recreational and shopping options in the heart of Mandeville are easily accessible on foot.

About the Golf View Hotel

The Golf View Hotel, which opened its doors in 1998, is the second-largest hotel complex and one of the biggest conference centres on Jamaica's south coast. Ralph James, the building's founder and one of Jamaica's most well-known entrepreneurs, quickly renovated the former apartment complex as the need for both lodging and conference facilities grew.

With 75 rooms and more than 2000 square feet of meeting space, the hotel, known on the island as "Golf View," was deliberately created to provide each visitor with a "home away from home" feeling without compromising the highest level of quality and service.

The Golf View Hotel, which won the 2011 Manchester Chamber of Commerce Award for Hospitality, has developed alongside Mandeville's expansion and has become one of the most renowned lodging establishments in the region.

Places to visit while staying at the Golf View Hotel

Manchester Country Club- The Manchester Country Club was built as a result of the game's Scottish invention more than a century ago. The Manchester Country Club is the oldest golf course in Jamaica and the entire Caribbean.

It was created in 1865 and has remained Jamaica's most distinctive course for 157 years. It was sculpted out of the undulating hills around Mandeville. Naturally, this is all due to the course's nine greens and 18 teeing areas.

There are also three sizable tennis courts and two squash courts. Despite being a private members club, it welcomes guests and is a popular destination for tourists in Mandeville.

Gourie Forest Reserve and Cave- Three miles northwest of Christiana, close to Colleyville, there is an unexpected flowering of pine, mahogany, and mahoe trees. One of Jamaica's longest cave systems, replete with wonderful hiking trails, may be found in this highland nature reserve.

The park has four main hiking trails, ranging from 1.9 km to 4.7 km. However, there is a lot of opportunity for development because they aren't well-marked. In this former slave runaway hideout, you will occasionally wade through water that is between three and four feet deep.

It resembles the path of an icy river and has grand columns, tiny fissures, and other elements. If you want to see the Gourie Cave, one of the area's highlights, it's not a good idea to travel alone.
