Can I bring my perscriptions with me to Jamaica?

QUESTION:

Hi!! I am prescribed Vicoden and Valium. Can I take these medications with me on my vacation to Ocho Rios, Jamaica?

@Karen McConnell... of course you can. just make sure they are in their original bottles with your name on them. also carry them with you, not in your checked bags

@Sue Weis Herbst... I'm diabetic so I have to give shots... therefore I have with me needles and lancets...all I do is have my dr prepare a short letter explaining my need to carry these with me and I have no problems on either side of TSA or Customs...just think ahead
