Negril, Jamaica, is a place to relax and enjoy a chill atmosphere. It is one of the top places for tourists to stay in Jamaica, the 7-mile beach being one of its top attractions. However, it is not so high on the list of places in Jamaica to find exhilarating nightlife. Unlike Montego Bay with its numerous nightclubs, Negril is quite limited in that area. But all is not lost.

Jungle Nightclub

If you're looking for nightlife, go to The Jungle Nightclub in Negril.  It has been around for many years and has been the go-to place in Negril to really let loose and have some fun it was even rated one of the best in the Caribbean.

Tourists and locals alike go to this hotspot for dancing and live music, depending on the night you go you might hear mostly dancehall or hip-hop music, in some cases a mixture of both. During peak season, you may even run into some well-known DJs from New York City and Miami! The Jungle is constantly a party, with two floors, seven bars, and four DJs.

The Jungle in Negril is open from 10:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m. on Thursdays and Saturdays. Ladies get in free from 10:00 a.m. until midnight on Thursdays! If you like partying with a crowd, wait until midnight or later, that’s when the clubbing really begins. Do not expect fancy drinks here though, Jungle is definitely more about the music and dancing, the drinks are pretty basic but also quite reasonable.

It is an open-air venue so you do not need to worry much about other smoking patrons, and there are always security guards patrolling so you will be quite safe as well. Fun Fact: the slogan of the nightclub is "Unleash the Animal", males are referred to as “Tarzans” and females as “Janes”, so expect a wild night.

Hedonism II

As the name would suggest, expect nothing but unbridled fun and excitement. If you are more reserved, this is not the place for you. Isn’t Hedonism II a resort? Well yes, it is but even those who are not guests can enjoy the festivities and take part in all the action by purchasing a night pass.

The night pass starts at 6 pm and ends at 2 am, giving you hours to enjoy yourself, eat, drink and party as much as you can manage to do. If you go as a couple the cost for a night pass is $170, as a single male it is $200 and as a single female, it is $90. Hedonism II nightly entertainment includes:

  • Shows - You will be taken on a voyeuristic trip of hidden passions, sensuality, and seduction by the talented entertainment staff. Try the seductive thrill ride with incredible acrobatics or the provocative fun milk bath.
    These presentations are designed to take your breath away, with amazing singers, musicians, and dancers delivering one-of-a-kind, fascinating routines in lavish costumes.

  • Live Band - The live band features some of the Caribbean's best musicians. Every night (excluding Wednesdays), from 8:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., enjoy the live band on their centre stage.

  • Piano Bar - Come sing along with newfound friends at the Piano Bar if you prefer the laid-back lounge scene. From 10:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., a pianist performs.10:30 p.m. Karaoke Tuesdays.

Bourbon Beach

Another popular spot in Negril, is right along Negril’s main street, Norman Manly Boulevard. It's open from 9 am daily to 11 pm, so go out early. Besides rum, beer and other alcoholic drinks, you can also grab a plate of jerk chicken, fresh fish or even lobster at this club.

You can also expect live music 3 nights per week. Bourbon Beach is not just a club though, it is also the main venue for many grand-scale parties and events in Negril including many soca parties, ask around or call for information on any upcoming events.
