Best Value Places To Eat in Montego Bay - plus transportation and excursions

QUESTION: I will be staying at the Hilton Rose Resort & Spa this September.

Has anyone got any good tips when in Montego Bay e.g cheap excursions, who to use as a driver guide, best places to eat and
drink outside the resort, party nights and where, prices for meals and drinks for best value in and around areas and best transport to use at cheapest costs to get around. There are 6 of us staying at this resort for a wedding.

It's all included in the Jamaica Insider Guide, page 41.

In terms of the food and place to eat, it all depends on your taste and the company, but some of the best value places to eat in Montego Bay would include Scotchies Jerk, The Pelican, Jerky's, Martini and Juici Patties on the new Fairview Plaza. For Nightlife, ask about Margueritaville, Pier One, or Blue Beat.

For transport, I would suggest you hook up with a local friend who will have connections to get the cheapest cost. Otherwise, just ask the
tour desk folks at the hotel for their honest opinion on how to get around the cheapest.
