My JamHearts Family,

With hearts full of gratitude and love, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to you for your tremendous support and encouragement throughout Karena's incredible festival queen journey (we spoke about it here).

Last night's culmination of the competition may not have resulted in the outcome we hoped for, but your love and belief in Karena's talent and promise have been a source of immense strength and inspiration for us all.

Your kind words, thoughtful messages, and votes poured in, and we certainly felt the warmth of your love surrounding us throughout the entire experience.

Even today, I'm still seeing her on many of my friends' reels and stories!

So while she may not have been crowned the winner, in our hearts, Karena is and will always be a winner, our Jamaican Queen.

Plus your support and encouragement allowed her to shine brightly on that national stage - don't discount that, and that's a victory in itself! 🌟👑

And the walk and poise? They were just, 'WOW'!

We believed she deserved to be, at least, in the top 5 - at least.

That would have placed her in the interview segment, as we figured it would have been a done deal, but the judges saw otherwise.

But although it's now history, the entire journey, grueling as it was, away from home for almost three weeks, would have helped her tremendously in her personal development.

And just thinking back now, it amazes me just how much she has achieved in her short 18 years!

She has already etched her name in the annals of history for so many things!

Of course, she is still the esteemed festival queen for her parish!

But among the many other accolades, are awards for most outstanding performance in CSEC, yeah not just Jamaica, but also in the Caribbean Top 10!

And of course, you know she was recently awarded the esteemed Governor General Award for excellence! 💕🌈

As parents, we are immensely proud and we'll continue to support her (and indeed all our promising young talents here), and I challenge you, and of us on this journey, to do the same.

Together, we can continue to inspire and make a positive impact on them and Jamaica land we love!

Once again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being a part of this extraordinary experience.
Your love and support have touched us deeply, and we are eternally grateful🙏🏽

dear karena wellesley and omeil i dont know any of you to bad so sad eh thats a little canadian for you what ive seen makes me say to all of you im proud you all represent jamaica well i love it there and karena your on the right road to a very nice development to fulfill your dreams if that makes sense okay irie hope to be there in our alberta winter irie and all of you im sure theres brothers sisters too and wish them all sucess with whatever they may choose IRIE it would be nice to introduce myself someday thanks mike w.

Karena is amazing, accomplishing so much in just a few 18 years. She's a beautiful reflection, inside and out, of her truly awesome "model" parents, family, school, and community. But it was she who made the best of her environment and excelled.

We are so proud of her, we got to meet her personally when she took time to come and support the book launch of our memoir "Loving to be We: Receiving mountains as stepping stones to cross the cultural divide between Jamaica and the USA/Babylon."

We look forward to following her life path which is bound to be full of evidence of her servant leadership. We delight in telling all our guests at our Topaz Dream Palace, in Mt Salem MoBay, about Karena and our favorite source of information and inspiration about our homeland, "My-Island-Jamaica."
