Disembarked the Nieuew Amersteram cruise ship on December 12,2012 to attend a wedding at the RIU hotel on the beach. Very nice spot!
I spent only 4 hours there on the beach at the wedding though. Took some video. Have very happy memories! The sand was really nice. Very laid back place.
You could buy large baskets of mangoes in roadside stands on the side of the road. Next time I go, I hope to see Dunns Falls. This coming February doing another cruise with Falmouth as the port in Jamaica.
Looking forward to that!

Hey William,
I think you mean Ocho Rios not Ochos Rios, lol :-)
But thanks a lot for your submission sir. Glad that you were able to get some beautiful memories of JA!
Yes, our beaches are wonderful - some of the best in the Caribbean! And so you would not be surprised to know that we do host a lot of beach weddings nowadays in Jamaica.
In fact, most of the weddings of tourists and visitors to Jamaica do take place on the beaches. I actually had mine overlooking the ocean too :-), beautiful.
Anyway, away with my chatter; just happy you chose Jamaica and enjoyed yourself. Until next time...
