Contest Entry #001 - The Simple Life - In Black River, Jamaica

My husband I were fortunate to have spent 8 nights in Negril back in 2008 - A second honeymoon so to speak.

This was our first trip to Jamaica, out of the country (US) for that matter.

Because this really would the trip of a lifetime for us, I spent a lot of time planning/researching.

We could not decide whether to say on the beach or the West End (cliffs) so we chose to do both.

We spent the first 4 nights at an all-inclusive (Sunset at The Palms) on the beach and the second half of our trip at Tensing Pen on the Cliffs!

Staying at an all inclusive at the beginning of our trip allowed us to get acclimated to the area/culture.

By the time we transferred to Tensing Pen, we were ready to get out and explore!

The highlight of our trip was the YS Falls/Black River excursion -breathtakingly beautiful!

Of all the pics I took (and I took a LOT during the week), believe it or not, this was my favorite.

To me, it represents the serenity and tranquility I/we came to know and love (and appreciate) during our time in Jamaica.

Sometimes, less is definitely more. I cannot wait 'til we are able to return!!!
