Is May A Good Time To Visit Jamaica- Coming For My Birthday
I'm coming to Jamaica shortly to celebrate my 60th birthday in May.
I hear that is the start of your rainy season. Will I be disappointed?
Should I plan coming sooner or later in the month?

First of all, an early Happy 60th Birthday to you! 🎉🎉 That's such a beautiful milestone, and I'm excited you’re planning to celebrate it right here in Jamaica 🇯🇲!
Now, about the weather — yes, May is typically considered the start of our rainy season. But don’t worry too much! It’s not usually a situation where it rains all day, every day. Most of the time, you’ll get short showers — sometimes just in the afternoons — and then the sun comes right back out like nothing happened.
If you want to play it a little safer weather-wise, early May is usually better than late May. By the second half of the month, we tend to see a little more rainfall, but again, it’s often just quick bursts, not washout days.
Also, the good thing is that May is not as crowded as the winter tourist season, so you’ll find fewer crowds and sometimes even better deals on accommodations and activities.
Either way, Jamaica is beautiful year-round, and there’s still plenty of sunshine to enjoy — even in the rainy season.
