The internet is a fantastic place to do online banking transactions. You can do almost everything you need to on your computer, including transferring money between accounts and making payments.
There are only a few things that require you to visit in person at a local branch. If you have a scotia bank account or planning on getting one, the scotia online banking platform is the best way to manage your account.

HOW DO I REGISTER FOR SCOTIA ONLINE?
You can register for Scotia Online immediately by going to their website and clicking on the “Register” button.
If you are planning on opening a new scotia bank account, the bank teller will register you for online banking during the account set-up process.
WHAT TYPES OF SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE ON SCOTIA ONLINE?
Online Banking: You can view your account balances, and account history, transfer funds, make credit card payments and set up recurring and future-dated payments. You can also open a second banking account with the bank using their online platform.
Online Bill Payment: Paying bills is now easier than ever with Scotia OnLine Bill Payment. You can also create and manage a personal budget by setting up alerts to monitor spending activity in your account.
Phone Top Up: You can also top up with phone credit from Flow and Digicel at the lowest going rates.
WHY WOULD I USE SCOTIA ONLINE?
- Convenience – it's available 24/7 so you don't have to worry about timing. You can access it from anywhere as long as you have an internet connection; there’s no need for a physical branch nearby. You can check your balance, pay bills, transfer funds and make deposits and withdrawals. You'll also be able to access statements online.
- Security – security measures such as two-factor authentication which means that even if someone has stolen your username/password combination they still won't be able to access your account because they will also need another piece of information that only you know like the answers from multiple secret questions that the bank asked when first setting up the account (e.g., "Where did I go on my last vacation?")
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO USE SCOTIA ONLINE?
There are no fees for using Scotia Online, However, some transactions and services may have different terms and conditions that may attract some fees.
HOW DO I REGISTER FOR THE SCOTIA APP?
To register for the Scotia App, you will need:
- A smartphone with a supported operating system (Android 4.0 and above, iOS 8.0 and above).
- A valid email address.
You can download the app from the App Store or Google Play Store. Once downloaded to your phone or tablet, open it then follow the instructions as they come up.
Register for the app using your account number and last name (no spaces between letters).
You will be prompted to enter an SMS code sent to your mobile phone by Scotia Bank Jamaica Limited; select “Yes” when it presents itself as an option, followed by “Register Now” at which point you will receive confirmation of successful registration in a separate message from Scotia Bank Jamaica Limited.
HOW MANY DEVICES CAN I DOWNLOAD THE APP ONTO?
You can download the Scotia Bank mobile app on as many devices as you want. This means that you can have it on your phone, your tablet and even your computer.
WHERE CAN I GET INFORMATION ABOUT THE APP AND OTHER MOBILE SERVICES?
To learn more about the Scotia Mobile Banking App, visit Scotia Online. The website has a section dedicated to Mobile Banking that includes instructions for downloading and using the app, as well as a FAQ section with answers to common questions about mobile banking services.
