Jamaica Independence Article/ Story Contest - Entry #07 - Remember When August 6, 1962
I was eleven and half years old (11 1/2). I was afraid of the Junkunoo as we followed the parade dancing in the streets to culminate at Molynes Road in Kingston.
My sister, Audrey, and the person dressed like a ๐ Devil almost had a face off!
The Independence celebration was heartwarming and made us so proud of our Island ๐ ๐ โค๏ธ even to this day.
