Help Non-English Speakers with Website Creation on WS Network

QUESTION about:How to Help Non-English Speakers with Website Creation on WS Network

Hi Wellesley,
Right now I'm sitting in Berlin/Germany preparing to leave next year for Spain (most probably)and remember that 10 years ago there was no further language available with ws network - just English. If I have new people from Spain or Germany who don't speak English well enough to create their site - what can I do? I'm a writer - I have no time to assist everyone. I find it unbelievable, that there are still no more languages - or do I get that wrong? In that case GDI would miss 50% of the business - and their subscribers too.

I wanted to subscribe yesterday but hesitated to get more information... that's how I came to your homepage - beautiful. I traveled the world but have never been to Jamaika - not yet ...

So - what help is there for not-englisih speaking citizens?

Saludos desde Berlin
Chris

Hi Chris,

First off, thank you for your kind words! I’m glad you found my website and that it caught your interest. Jamaica is definitely worth visiting, so maybe one day, you’ll make the trip! 😊

Now, let’s get into your question. Does WS Network (or GDI) support multiple languages? You’re absolutely right—for many years, English was the only option, which limited opportunities for non-English speakers. However, there have been some workarounds and improvements over time.

Can Non-English Speakers Use WS Network?
At the core, WS Network (or GDI) primarily operates in English, but that doesn’t mean non-English speakers are completely out of luck. Here are some ways they can still use the platform:

  1. Use Website Builders with Multilingual Features
Many website-building platforms today support multiple languages. If GDI (or WS Network) itself doesn't support Spanish or German, you can still:

    • Create content in Spanish or German manually using site-building tools.

    • Use third-party translation plugins like Google Translate to make content accessible.

    • Choose website templates that support multilingual pages (some themes let you easily switch between languages).

  2. Auto-Translation Tools
If time is an issue for you as a writer, you can recommend tools that allow users to create sites in English and automatically translate them into Spanish or German. Some good ones include:

    • Google Translate Plugin (for basic translations).
    • WPML (WordPress Plugin) – great for multilingual sites.
    • DeepL Translator – produces more natural translations than Google Translate.

While auto-translation isn’t perfect, it can make website-building easier for non-English speakers.

  3. Partnering with Freelancers for Translations
Since you’re a writer and don’t have time to assist everyone, you could direct non-English speakers to platforms where they can get help. Sites like:

    • Fiverr
    • Upwork
    • PeoplePerHour
… have freelance translators who can help convert content into Spanish or German for a small fee.

  4. Checking with WS Network / GDI Support
It might be worth reaching out directly to WS Network or GDI to ask if they’ve added new language support recently. Sometimes, companies update their features but don’t announce them widely.

So Chris, you’re absolutely right, if WS Network still doesn’t support multiple languages, they’re missing out on a huge global market. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t solutions! Whether it’s using multilingual website tools, auto-translation, or freelance translators, there are ways to make it work for Spanish and German speakers.
