For the 1966 British Empire and Commonwealth Games, Jamaica constructed Independence Park, a sports and cultural complex. Various sporting facilities are housed here, including the National Stadium, the complex's primary sporting stadium.
The Jamaica Football Federation's home field, the National Stadium, is mainly used for football. Still, it also serves as the base for Jamaica's national sports squad at the Olympic and Commonwealth Games, making it the pinnacle of athletic competition in the West Indies. There are Olympic-sized swimming and diving pools, The National Arena, The National Indoor Sports Complex, and the Leila Robinson Netball Courts.

spanning over a century. It is the lone Test cricket venue in Kingston and also serves as the home of the Kingston Cricket Club. Kingston Cricket rented Sabina Park in 1880 and used it until its purchase on November 27, 1890. When the West Indies hosted the visiting MCC team for the fourth and final Test of their inaugural home series in 1930, Sabina Park was transformed into a Test cricket venue. England's Andy Sandham scored 325 against the West Indies in the 1930 match, making the gorgeous venue one of the most important in Test cricket history.
Situated in the vibrant tourist hub of Montego Bay, the Catherine Hall Sports Complex is a hub of sporting activity. With a capacity of over 7,000, this venue hosts a variety of sporting events, including football matches, basketball games, and athletic competitions.

The only racetrack in Jamaica is Caymanas Park. It was formerly a sugarcane estate in the Jamaican Colony. The Ellis family, including George and Charles Ellis, 1st Baron Seaford, were its first owners and garnered immense wealth from both slavery and sugar. Today horserace betting is quite popular in Jamaica and many line up to watch the games and bet on their favourite horses every Wednesday and on special weekend events. Though not as big as in previous years, many Jamaicans still enjoy dressing up for the annual derby each year.
In Trelawny, Jamaica, a multi-use stadium called Trelawny Stadium was finished in 2007. It can accommodate up to 25,000 people. It was constructed following a deal between Jamaica and the People's Republic of China, in which the PRC government contributed at least $30 million of the project's required funding. It is mostly used for cricket games. The well-maintained facilities and breathtaking views make Trelawny Stadium a true gem in the Jamaican sports landscape.
The Kensington Cricket Club was established in 1880 as St Andrew Juniors Cricket Club, and its first home games were held at Camperdown in Kingston. The club was relocated from Kingston to Cosmo Lorenzo Dicks' farm, "Kensington," near Sligoville, Saint Catherine Parish, the next year, after he had been named captain. The group eventually adopted the name Kingston Cricket Club. Before returning to Kensington Park in 1901, the club played its home matches at Winchester Park for nine years starting in 1892 when it returned to Kensington.
Montego Bay United FC, a member of the Jamaica Premier League, played association football there up until 2013 when the team moved across town to the Cathrine Hall Sports Complex. Regional first-class games were played at Jarrett Park from 1965 to 2001, and a women's test international game was played there in 1976.
Spanish Town, Jamaica's Prison Oval is a multi-use stadium that primarily hosts football games at the moment. It serves as Rivoli United FC's home field. 2,000 people can fit in the stadium. Its location next to the high-security Saint Catherine Prison is thought to be the origin of the moniker "Prison Oval." From their cells, some prisoners can view sporting events and other things.
In Portmore, Jamaica, there is a multipurpose stadium called Ferdi Neita Sports Complex (sometimes spelt Feride). Currently, it serves mainly as a practice field and venue for football games. It serves as Portmore United F.C.'s home field. 3,000 people can fit in the stadium.
The multi-purpose Frome Sports Club stadium is located in Frome, close to Savanna-la-Mar, Jamaica. Currently, it is primarily utilised for football games. It serves as Reno FC's home field. 2,000 people can fit in the stadium.
In Harbour View, close to Kingston, Jamaica, there is a football stadium called Harbour View Stadium. It was constructed in the 1990s as part of the club's transformation into a wholly professional organization by Carvel Stewart and Harbour View Football Club. It has a seating capacity 7,000 and serves as the Harbour View Football Club's home field. This stadium has hosted several national team international contests. The stadium features two bars, a Western Union location, and billboards almost fully encircle the playing field. This generates income for the maintenance of the grounds.
