Jamaica - Will Always Be The Island Of Paradise

Throughout my adulthood, I've traveled throughout the entire island of Jamaica many times, but never seemed to find the time to enjoy the tranquility and beauty that surrounded me each time I visited the island.

It wasn't until a few years ago, when I decided that I would take my family on vacation back to my home island -Jamaica, so we could explore and experience the island through the eyes of a tourist.

I wanted my children to see what they were missing and prove to them that there is a home away from their home in America, where they could run free on the white sands and swim and play in the beautiful blue beaches all day long.

We stayed in Ochio Rios at a secluded all-inclusive resort, and it was wonderful! My children had so much fun and I did not have to worry about them wandering off and not being safe.

The resort had a wonderful kids club program that was supervised by a friendly, exciting staff that took good care of all the children.

They had fun-filled daily activities that kept the children happy and busy, and I was impressed when my son told me that he was not bored and was happy that he was having lots of fun. That just put a great big smile on my face. Each day he would say to me - Mommy, no worries 'Mon' (LOL).

I experienced so much R&R it was unbelievable! It was a blessing for me to be "worry-free" and not have to wear a watch to keep track of the time. To lounge out on the soft white sand in the warm sun and relax with a good book and a cool drink and eat all the Jamaican food my heart desired.

All the pampering I got made me feel like royalty and made me feel like I had died and gone to heaven. A dream come true. It was the most peaceful, happy and relaxing time I have ever had while visiting Jamaica. And all this time it was right there in my own backyard!

I was truly amazed at how much excitement one could have while vacationing in Jamaica, whether you're a child or an adult. Jamaica is truly blessed with a lot of professional Jamaican entertainers.

The professionalism of their performances in the shows and acts that they put on at these resorts are breathtaking and phenomenal. Whether it's acting, singing, and/or dancing, you name it, they can do it all with such grace.

We Jamaicans are truly blessed with a beautiful island, the island of paradise. 'A fe we country' - One Love.
