While many resorts are way more expensive because of the amenities they provide, there are hotels in Mobay that provide a more affordable vacation without skimping on amenities. You’ll be able to have a comfortable and exciting vacation even on a budget.

Here are my recommendations for cheap hotels in Mobay Jamaica.

1. Toby’s Resort

This family-operated resort manages to be affordable without feeling cheap. They offer two types of room accommodations, Standard and Deluxe.

  • Standard Rooms - Double occupancy room with two double beds or a queen-size bed. It can also accommodate 2 adults and a child.

  • Deluxe Rooms - The larger of the two, the deluxe room has two double beds or one queen-sized bed. These rooms also have a pool or garden view. Each air-conditioned room has a fridge, tea and coffee facilities, and a private bathroom with a selection of toiletries.

If you decide to honeymoon at Toby’s, there are special services that are available to you which you can learn more about when making your reservation.

How close to the beach is Toby’s Resort?

While the resort’s property does not have direct access to the beach, the resort is just a walk away from 2 beaches, one being the famous Doctor’s Cave Beach, known for its healing properties and snorkelling.

Spa

Spa services are also one of the amenities available at Toby’s Resort. The small spa centre located right on the property brings relaxation right to you. They offer various types of massages, facials, exfoliation treatments and exclusive body wraps for men and women.

Airport Shuttle

The airport shuttle is very convenient for pick-ups and drop-offs to the nearby Sangsters International Airport. Though it is not free, it is very affordable.

Parking Lot

The parking lot is free, so if you decide to have your rentals on vacation, you’ll have a safe place to park.

2. Sea Gardens All-Inclusive Beach Resort

The Sea Gardens All-Inclusive Beach Resort has 6 accommodation types decorated with handcrafted furniture built right on the property by their carpenters. Whether travelling alone, as a couple, or as a family, an eclectic array of accommodation categories are available. They have varying views from the beautiful tropical garden to the Caribbean Sea.

  • 1 Bedroom O/V Suite
  • Family Room
  • Bohemian Suite

Dining

There are two restaurants; Jasmine and Chatham. Jasmine serves Jamaican meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Chatham, named in memory of the hotel’s first name is an international fusion restaurant. All the meals at the Jasmine are included in the all-inclusive package but there will be some additional charge with dining at Chaltam.

Entertainment

Sea Gardens offers quite a bit when it comes to ensuring you have the best time while on vacation:

  • Indoor/Outdoor Activities - Fitness Centre, Fun & Games, Pool Billiards, Board Games, Shuffleboard, Tennis
  • Water Sports - Aqua-Fitness Classes, Snorkeling, Kayaks, Pool Volleyball, Non-motorized Watersports
  • Night Live - Live Native Shows, Night Club, Dance Classes, Jamaica Cultural Night
  • Karaoke Night, Movie Night Under the Stars, Reggae Night, Manager's Cocktail Party

3. Deja Resorts

Located in the heart of the Hip Strip, the 93-room resort has Junior, King and Superior level suites, all having four-person occupancy limits except the King suite which accommodates 2.

Here, you’ll have access to the gym, playroom for children, restaurant and bar. While this resort does not have a beach for itself, Doctor’s Cave Beach is just across the road.

4. Doctor’s Cave Beach Hotel

While the beach itself is widely popular, the Hotel attached to Doctor’s Cave isn’t as much.

They have 3 levels of accommodation, Standard, Superior and Suites which all have a maximum limit of four persons.

The suites are outfitted with a kitchenette and living room which has additional sleeping space. If your party is larger than 4 persons, then you could take advantage of the additional adjoining standard room as well.

The beach is just across the road but feels free to utilize the jacuzzi and pool on the hotel's property. The grotto bar serves up delicious cocktails every day and the gym is available for those who don’t want to stray too far away from their regimen on vacation.

They often have enticing discounts, especially during the summer when Jamaica has multiple events such as Reggae Sumfest for which they usually have a Reggae special.

Also very big on family, they sometimes have a family reunion special. But, it is always good to see what promotions are available that could make your trip even more budget-friendly.

This hotel is not all-inclusive and offers continental breakfasts in most cases. But there are many restaurants and eateries on the hip strip so there is no need to worry.

You might have thought that getting cheaper accommodation would mean being far removed from the excitement, attractions and all the other reasons you chose Jamaica as your vacation.

But affordable hotels in Mobay Jamaica are actually on prime real estate, on the Hip Strip where you can find multiple restaurants, bars, live entertainment, a casino and arcade, a dispensary and countless options for duty-free shopping.

What’s even better, is that you are never too far from the airport, so your fun starts almost as soon as you land.
