A Private Moment on GoldenEye
Contest Entry #003 - Golden Eye Lagoon, Jamaica - A Quiet Moment
Jamaica - My Second Home
I fell in love with Jamaica the first time I went. I was taken by a guide to a plateau high above Rose Hall, St. James called Moontide.
It was very serene and fragrant with a gentle breeze blowing and I felt as though I could feel God breathing. I thought if I ever own a spa business, it will be called "Moontide".
Fifteen years later I opened a spa training and consulting service and named it just that! By that time I had racked up 31 visits to Jamaica!
I felt as though I could never get enough of this wonderful country.
In 2010 I had an opportunity to consult for GoldenEye, a very well known high end resort in Oracabessa, St. Mary.
I was a newbie in the consulting industry and felt as though I didn’t really have a chance to compete.
But I was selected when the spa director discovered that I had visited the country so often. She told me that anyone who had such a love for the Jamaican people should be the one teaching them.
The assignment at Goldeneye Resort was one of the highlights of my life.
The first two pictures were taken during a break from training. One of the twins from water sports was having a private moment on the lagoon.
To me the pictures exemplify the strength and beauty of a Jamaican man and the crystalline environment in which he works.
The other picture is a fun moment with both of the twins. Double irie!
