Engineering Manager / Head of Engineering In Jamaica

I am a Degree qualified and experienced Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering professional with Quality & leadership experience (Now reading for a Masters degree in Project Management) seeking new career challenges within the Engineering / Manufacturing industries in Jamaica.

I am offering over 25 years of Engineering and project management experience across the Aerospace, Automotive, Power generation and Robotic Automation industries, working for blue chip companies including (Rolls-Royce, Siemens energy, Babcock,Jaguar-Land Rover and on contract with Caterpillar USA.

I am a confident multi-disciplined decision-maker, able to quickly grasp company operations.

Excellent people management, and Organizational skills. Strong ability to communicate effectively with technical leadership, board-executive & business level. Able to analyse and interpret performance data output from manufacturing process capability plans. I can be Flexible & I am able to travel internationally.

I have Lead multi- discipline teams of project, design, quality, manufacturing & process engineers. lead and implemented NPI processes this includes managing resources, projects costs, Quality Audits on Non-conformance, concessions & reporting to senior management.

I have been trained to Six Sigma green belt in manufacturing processes, working to close tolerances on designs & manufacture of turbines engines & rotating components and taking a key role in projects for the Manufacture of Diesel engines, Power generators, heavy duty components and Exhaust systems, these were supplied to JLR, Honda, Caterpillar, Perkins & Siemens for vehicle manufacture and industrial installations.

Work with B.I.W Automation, exhaust manufacturing & Engine assembly Lines.

My experiences in quality have given me knowledge of TS16949 (IATF16949) &.ISO 9001, APQP, PPAP, MES, AS9100 & AS9102 standards, Quality inspections and BS 8887 & BS 8888 standards.
First article inspection experience with knowledge of 8D / 5 whys and root cause analyses.

I believe that my experience, skills, qualifications and know how could be of good value to larger Jamaican companies / employers who are willing to have a discussion with me.
