Craftsman named Rupert at Holiday Inn Sunspree Montego Bay

When my husband and I were in Jamaica two summers ago at the Holiday Inn Sunspree in Montego Bay, this wonderful craftsman named Rupert carved beautiful fish for us while we watched.

He and his friends sell crafts on the beach just outside the perimeter of the hotel.

He also cooked fish and breadfruit for us on an open fire. He gave me his cell phone number for the next time we visited Jamaica, but I can't find it.

When I Google "Montego Bay Rupert", there he is....but no contact information. See Rupert on youtube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=ftg2AkyblT0.

I would love to have his contact information as we are planning another trip to Jamaica. Hope that you can help :-)

Hi Suyrea,
I just made a quick call to Holiday Inn here, but none of the persons I spoke to is aware of such person.

The tour desk indicated that they have special days that craftsmen and merchants are invited to the property so they may not be fully familiar with some of them.

That said, by the time you get this notice a copy of your inquiry would already be on our facebook and twitter pages so I am hoping that one of my ardent readers will know Rupert and respond to you accordingly via this comments link.

People with sufficient expects to pay the instructive expense unmitigated have the social cash to recognize if the look education is of awesome and if the quality proposal is at risk to have a constructive level of productivity, paying little heed to the way that that landing takes around a lifetime.

Rupert is wonderful- front desk at holiday inn wouldn't know who he is because they aren't allowed on the property and sell their crafts at the fat end of the beach by the adult beach where sunspree property ends. Smokey sets up shop with him too, and made me hand carved cats :)
