I came to Jamaica to begin my 2.5 year volunteer program in June 2011.

By April 2012 my three best girlfriends from home came out for a visit. It was the best vacation we have ever all taken together.

Here is a picture of three of us in the natural pool between falls at Reach Falls in eastern Portland, as part of the amazing guided hike up the river through underwater caves, etc.

Their visit was especially important for me as it gave me an opportunity for me to share this part of Jamaica that I had been getting to know and love as my new home as well as for me to explore places I had not been to yet. This was my first trip to Reach falls but not my last.

The natural beauty of Jamaica and the helpfulness of the locals will never be forgotten by us.
