Building advice for home construction in Jamaica

Natasha needed some advice on building construction in Jamaica, and so I reached out to my advisor on these matters.

Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to us in search of information regarding the construction of your home.

Our rate for construction starts at JMD$9,500 per square foot (approx. $70 USD) and is determined by the range finishing requested by the client. These rates include material and labour.

Therefore if the average area of your proposed 2 bedroom dwelling is approximately 700 sq.ft. this will equate to JMD$6,650,000. 1/3 of this goes to labour while the rest is left for material.

This can be fully maximized but it depends on the approach of you the client which is proper timing, planning and management.

We offer full service project management. Do you already have a building plan? If not, we also design and do building plans at a rate of JMD $80/square foot (700 sq.ft = JD $56,000).
