Being curious about a mention that Wellesley made on this site along with personal photos of his visit several months back, I took a group of friends over to Boston Beach in Portland to visit Great Huts, the eco-resort established by Doctor Paul Rhodes. I was blown away by the experience! (Wellesley's Story here)
I could write a book about the place but their fabulous web site says it all. Go to www.greathuts.com and dwell on the site for half an hour or more.
Don't forget to visit all the sections listed at the top of the page to see what I mean. The site is loaded with photos and information.
Could you ever imagine staying in such a fabulous hut as the Queen of Sheba, or the watchtower designed African Sunrise high up overlooking the beautiful little bay where a surfer may be seen riding in on a wave?
Can you imagine living amongst outdoor African sculpture or enjoying the fabulous cultural show in on a Saturday night? And... can you imagine the jerked chicken down that way where it all started?
You will miss out on Jamaica if you stay cooped up in an all-inclusive. To really get away and experience Jamaica take a peek at Great Huts.
