On March 3, 1983, Maxfield Bakery & Pastries Limited started conducting business. They aim to offer the customer wholesome, appetising, and nutritious baked goods at affordable prices. Maxfield Bakery is known primarily for its Jamaican Easter bun but they also produce other baked snacks.

A well-liked location is Devon House Bakery. A massive red-brick oven can be seen in the backdrop of the bakery, which is filled with cases of delicious baked goods. Sit outside on a bench and savour one of their renowned patties, a piece of cake, or an international dessert.

A group of small, family-owned businesses became Consolidated Bakeries Jamaica Limited in 1957. They sell a variety of breads, buns, biscuits and other baked goods. They operate under 3 brand names:

On February 6, 1995, Captain's Bakery, which produces one of Jamaica's most popular Hardough breads, was founded. They also operate a bakery, an eatery, and a catering business. You can get a delicious breakfast, lunch, or supper at the Captain's Bakery Ltd. They have more than six (6) locations and make some of the finest pastries and hard-dough bread. Island-wide.

On September 15, 1971, Sugar and Spice Pastries was founded in Jamaica. It is a family-run company that places a strong emphasis on heritage. They provide an extensive selection of delectable goods, including cakes (customizable), cupcakes, patties, and desserts. The well-loved Danish whirl, which is usually covered with lemon or raspberry filling, the delectable iced cinnamon Danish, palm leaves, turnovers, fruit pockets, bear claws, and many other pastries are among the pastries available. Tortuga is known for producing some of the best rum cakes across the Caribbean. Their location in Kingston, bakes, packages and distributes goods, so you can always stop by to make an order.

Since Seprod acquired the manufacturing facilities of Kraft Foods Jamaica Limited in 2007, the International Biscuit Company factory has continued to astound its patrons with its mouthwatering selection of biscuits and cheese snacks. Along with third-party brands like Ovaltine, the IBL plant manufactures a large variety of cookies and crackers under the Butterkist brand and a broad selection of snacks under the Snackables brand.

Regardless of where you live on the island, it is a local tradition to grab a box of Prestige Bakery Donuts on the way back home. Prestige Donuts are widely considered as the best on the island. However, like other bakeries in Jamaica, they produce a variety of other baked products including hard dough bread.
