Amazon is the online platform we all love. It is the largest online retailer in the world and was established in 1994 by Jeff Bezos. As you know, it offers a huge selection of goods, such as music, books, movies, and electronics.

While many countries enjoyed the ability to make use of the platform and earn by selling their products, that was not the case for Jamaica. Fortunately, Jamaica was recently added to the list of 85 nations Amazon has approved for seller registration.

South Africa, Pakistan, Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, and other notable nations have also been added to the list. According to the website, individuals must "be a resident of one of the countries accepted for seller registration, have a valid number, and have an internationally chargeable credit card" to sell on Amazon.

If you are looking to sell products on amazon, here is what you need to do.

You will need these before you start selling on amazon:

1. A credit card that permits international charges (any Visa, Mastercard or American Express card will work).
2. A Jamaican bank account can accept Amazon payments using ACH (automated clearing house).
3. Your phone number and mailing address in Jamaica
4. You can obtain a U.S. EIN (Employee Identification Number) by completing an IRS Form SS-4.

Here’s what you need to do next:

1. Visit Amazon's services website.
2. Log into your Amazon account, scroll down, click Start Selling, and then do so.
3. You'll be ready to go in a few minutes if you follow the instructions!

Does Amazon Ship To Jamaica?

For those of you, like myself, who are not looking to sell on amazon but instead enjoy scrolling and making purchases, whether or not amazon ships to jamaica is a question we have to answer.

It's likely that if you're from Jamaica and have tried to order something from Amazon, you've encountered some issues. Many other issues can arise, but the most frequent one is that your item cannot be shipped to Jamaica.

Fortunately, if you know how to do it correctly, Amazon will ship almost any item to Jamaica. You can find out exactly how to get almost any Amazon.com item delivered to Jamaica using these 2-steps.

1. Step 1: Visit Your New Amazon Jamaica Homepage
   
   Have you ever attempted to make a purchase on Amazon.com (the US site) from Jamaica, but were informed that the item cannot be delivered to Jamaica when you get to the checkout page? So have I.
   
   To fix this You must begin each subsequent Amazon search from the Amazon Jamaica homepage to save time by avoiding items that don't ship outside of the USA. You can also choose to use the Amazon International site as well.
   
   
2. Step 2: Set Up Your 1-Click Address
   
   Even though with step 1 you've removed the products that can only be shipped to the USA, if you chose to use the international site not all of the remaining items can be delivered to Jamaica.
   
   To restrict your search results to items that can be delivered to Jamaica, create a 1-click address. Government regulations prevent some items, such as specialised electronics, from being imported directly from Amazon.
   
   Make sure your Jamaican address is set to default in your purchase preferences, and enable 1-click ordering in your browser. Simply add your Jamaica address and designate it as your default address if you aren't already configured this way.
   
   Although you never need to use the 1-click ordering feature, you must have it turned on for Amazon to only display products that ship to Jamaica.
   

If for some reason, neither of the steps above works for you, a good option, probably the most popular option, is to use a local shipping company that provides you with an American address to ship your purchase to.

The shipping company will get the items to Jamaica and you will either have them delivered to your doorsteps or picked up in the office.
