However, unlike the other tourist areas in Jamaica, Portland does not have many imposing 5-star resorts, (part of the unedited natural charm of the town). Instead, what you will find are more homely, private accommodations, many of which are big on being environmentally friendly.
If you are visiting soon, you might want to add an Airbnb to your possible accommodation options. In that case, here is some great Airbnbs in Portland Jamaica.
This cosy home hosts 6 guests whose basic amenities will be catered to. You needn’t worry about sharing the space on your vacation, the house will be all yours.
Each bedroom has a sizable wardrobe where you may keep your clothing and bags. There are two private bathrooms, one with a simple shower that provides hot/cold water and the other with a bath and shower. This place includes:
Since Honeycomb Utopia is located along the major route and is close to many sites, getting a taxi is a simple and convenient method to get around. Boston Jerk Center and Beach, which is popular for swimming and surfing, are about a three-minute walk from the home.
Necessary sights like Winnifred Beach, San San, and Frenchman Cove, as well as the Blue Lagoon, Reach Falls, and Rio Grande Rafting, are just a few of the attractions nearby.
Belmont, which is situated on 1.8 acres of lush foliage, has a serene, private atmosphere that makes it the perfect refuge for a romantic getaway or a laid-back family holiday.
The property includes a large patio shaded by two almond trees, which perfectly hold two hammocks between their branches.
The expansive gardens and lawns, a cool saltwater pool, and a charming gazebo are also included, all sharing magical views over San San Bay and Monkey Island, one of Jamaica's most famous natural attractions.
There is a spacious open dining area with a wide teak dining table that seats ten people, a kitchen that is completely furnished with contemporary appliances, and a central island. All four bedrooms feature private or shared decks and contemporary en-suite bathrooms with showers. Three of the bedrooms have king-sized beds, and the fourth has two full/double-sized beds.
If you are travelling with a large group, say 10 to 14, the Norse Hill Estate is the perfect fit. There are four bedrooms, each with enormous ensuite bathrooms in the main home of this private estate.
The Quain Garden Cottage, a wooden cottage with two storeys and one bedroom and bathroom on each floor, is located just down the garden path. Large parties typically hire this separately, but it is also available with the main villa.
On the lower floor of the cottage, there is a kitchenette, eating area, and living space. There are a cook, a housekeeper, and a groundskeeper on staff.
It is Portland's largest private estate with plantings fit for a botanical garden. You will have complete seclusion, which is a luxury in any rental property.
This bed and breakfast is a rural escape outfitted with some modern elements for convenience. It has air conditioning, a solar water heater, a TV, and electricity produced by wind and sun.

You may see the coast, St. Margaret's Bay, the Blue Mountains, and the well-known Rio Grande River while being surrounded by all the lush vegetation of the natural world.
The living room leads straight to your surrounding veranda, and from there, a wooden staircase leads to the green roof, which has a little terrace and a panoramic outlook.
Both the spacious communal patio of the main house and the garden are excellent places to unwind.
A small cottage that comfortably fits two persons on vacation. The small room has one double bed and a single bed and a wraparound verandah which gives breathtaking views. Also included is a living room and kitchen which uses a gas stove.
The indoor shower does not have hot water. In the event you need some, you’ll have to use the gas stove.
The cottage is a little way up from the parking lot which makes the trek a beautiful introduction to Jamaica’s rainforest and its small inhabitants.
At this large, sunny, and airy villa, take in the highest view of Boston Bay. The size of this villa makes it perfect for 8 guests to fit easily.
The property is surrounded by an undisturbed bird habitat and has a panoramic view of the ocean and mountains.
What's even better, it is only a short drive from Boston Bay's restaurants and nightlife, as well as world-famous beaches like Blue Lagoon and Frenchman's Cove.
You're in for a visual treat with Venetian wall treatments, solid wood ceilings and stairs, and driftwood carvings from Port Antonio's own woodcarver Rock Bottom.
Additionally, they are constantly upgrading the property, making each visit even better than the last. On their modest farm, with friendly goats and chickens (which means fresh organic eggs) that lounge around during the day and keep watch at night.
