There are 7 Sandals resorts in Jamaica (soon to be 8) and they are located in three parishes, Westmoreland, St. James and St. Ann.
Montego Bay is the island’s second city. It is also a major tourist resort town, with a mixture of adult-only and family-friendly resorts and hotels. The Hip Strip officially named Jimmy Cliff Boulevard is known for its hopping nightlife and gourmet restaurants.
There are three Sandals Resorts in Montego Bay, both in close proximity to each other. They are all located only about 10 minutes from the Donald Sangster International airport.
There are two Sandals resorts in the parish of Westmoreland. They are located in Negril and Whitehouse. Negril is a popular resort town for both families and couples. Some even refer to it as the “capital of casual”.
It is known for its white sandy 7-mile stretch of beach, rugged cliffs and beautiful sunsets. If you are coming in from the Sangster International airport it will take you about an hour and 30 minutes but from the Norman Manley International in Kingston, it will take you approximately 4 hours and 15 minutes.
Ocho Rios is another tourist destination and you will find two Sandals resorts there. It is a relatively quiet town but has an old-school Jamaican charm.
It’s the town for those who enjoy thrilling adventures as you will find great activities such as climbing the Dunn’s river falls, swimming with the dolphins or going ziplining through the rainforest.
It is an hour and a half from the Donald Sangster International airport and around the same distance from the Norman Manley international airport.
Sandals Ochi- Sandals Ochi is a luxurious hideaway with 105 pools, 16 distinctive dining options, and unlimited golf at the nearby Sandals Golf & Country Club. It is surrounded by 110 acres of lush tropical gardens.
There are also 16 distinct 22 whirlpools and 105 pools, and 11 bars with full services, including a speakeasy.
Sandals Royal Plantation- Only 74 opulent all-oceanview suites are available at Sandals Royal Plantation, which is surrounded by the Ocho Rios Riviera's crystal clear waters and the St. Ann Mountains' undulating hills.
It has the charm of a top-notch all-inclusive Caribbean beach resort and the intimacy of a classy private villa.
Five restaurants, 2 exclusive cove beaches, free rounds of golf at a nearby course plus exchange rights with the Sandals in the area make staying at this resort a great deal.
Sandals Dunn's River - The soon to be opened Sandals Dunn's river will have 260 rooms and suites outfitted with all the luxury amenities you can think of, including the famed Sandals' butler level suites. On top of that, they will have 12 restaurants, bars and pools.
With 7 resorts on the island (and another almost completed), that gives you seven opportunities to enjoy the Sandals luxury and hospitality that is often spoken of. Which Sandals resort is at the top of your list?
