One of the major advantages of solo travel in Jamaica is that it's relatively safe. While there are certain areas that are better avoided, such as downtown Kingston, most of the island is a great place to explore on your own. You can easily take public transportation or rent a car to get around, we are friendly, warm and accommodating people.
There are many ways to go about solo travelling in Jamaica, you can choose to stay in villas, Airbnb, small hotels, hostels and many other options. The absolute best option in my opinion though is definitely staying in an all-inclusive resort and hereโs why.
A large, luxury resort with all-inclusive amenities in a modern style. It certainly doesn't blend in with its surroundings in Lucea's undeveloped district. For both locals and visitors from abroad, it is one of the best party resorts in Jamaica, and once you get there, you won't ever feel the need to leave because there is entertainment available constantly. So, this is absolutely the place for you if you love to party, have a good time, and meet new people. Although this resort welcomes guests of all ages, there are several areas that are reserved for adults. Enjoy a variety of swim-up restaurants, bars, water sports, and more.
I highly recommend this resort to anyone who wants a break from the adult world to be a carefree child for a few days. It is simply a fun resort in the most innocent way. From the game rooms which include video games and virtual reality games, the daily shows with sesame street characters and the entertainment team teaching fun dance moves, the cafรฉ with the best ice cream sundaes and milkshakes, the poolside grill, serving up burgers and fries, the white sandy beach, it is really just perfect.
This resort is another great option in Negril. It is not a loud and boisterous resort, even with children. The atmosphere is chill and relaxing, a bit more on the elegant side, with fine dining restaurants, yoga classes by the beach and elegantly decorated rooms. This is a great option for those who want to relax by the beach, maybe go snorkelling or scuba diving during the day and enjoy calming music and international cuisine dinner at night.
Ever dreamed of having a treehouse as a kid? I certainly did, and at Kanopi House you get to experience that in a more glammed-up version. It is an eco-friendly resort, and absolutely no trees were felled to accommodate its construction. Their treehouse accommodations take glamping to a new level and you can relax even more knowing your trip will not cause harm to the environment in any way.
Local organic farmers supply the resort with the produce it needs to provide its guests with great meals and water used on the property is used for irrigation. There are many natural attractions in Portland and they will arrange excursions to these places for you, and even if you would rather stay on property, you can go kayaking, bird watching or even just for a swim.
One of the main reasons people choose to go on solo trips is to be able to focus on their well-being, mentally, physically and emotionally. Zoetry Wellness and Spa caters to just that. This resort offers an escape to a paradise that envelops you in luxury, privacy, and moving at your own pace, in contrast to many Jamaican resorts that are about lively fun, partying, and excitement. You can take enjoyment in life's slower-paced pleasures while getting the most attentive, customized treatment.
Although it is a small resort with only 49 suites, it offers a variety of amenities that you will appreciate using as you pursue wellness. There are a number of restaurants that serve meals made with organic and locally sourced ingredients, as well as a fitness centre, spa, and a variety of activities and programs like yoga, meditation, kayaking, snorkelling, producing crafts, and much more.
