Thanks again to Mr. Darby and his team at Educate Jamaica, here now is the very latest ranking of the top high schools in Jamaica!
Each school was measured using the percentage of their total grade 11 cohort that achieved 5 or more subjects (inclusive of both Mathematics and English at CSEC). Note also that all subjects sat prior to grad 11 (7, 8, 9 and 10) were taken into account.
But as we always say, please read with an open mind, as there are indeed a few shocking surprises for you again! Click Here to jump to the ranking.

As usual, to ensure consistency, transparency and trends, we continue to show the previous rankings, in descending order, and so here they are.
The big wigs are there again, Campion, Immaculate, St. Andrew High, Ardenne, Wolmer's Boys etc.
And what is very refreshing is that 22 of the top 28 schools in Jamaica have showed marked improvements in their index ratings.
For example, Campion, which registered 97.5% in 2023, improved even further to be now at a perfect 100%.
In fact, all except one school in the Top 10 showed marked improvements compared to their previous rankings!
And 'out of nowhere' appeared Herbert Morrison from St. James and Merle Grove High from Kingston!
Perhaps the biggest surprise though was Belmont Academy who didn't make this year's list, but was placed 14th last year.
Sitting pretty in strong first place is yes, Campion High with Immaculate Conception High in second place. They've basically exchanged positions from the last ranking (again) with St. Andrew High School for Girls returning in third place.
Ardenne and Wolmers' Boy complete the top 5.

Again, please recognize that these are the best in the island, regardless of any shifts. As I mentioned before, the majority of them (22 of the 28) have improved scores compared to the prior ranking. But we can't help noticing the massive shifts?
First the slides...
💪 Holding on to their prior rankings were:

These are the top tier for good reason! In total they average over 90%! And this time, perhaps for the first time, we have an equal (50-50) ratio of Corporate area vs rural school represented!
Congrats to St. Hilda's for making the top of the top-tier!
And just before you asked, yes Mannings is right there again - just 1 place better this time!💃🏿

Girls rule the word! Well so they say! 😀
Drum roll for these, the best girls schools in Jamaica.
This time again girls-only school accounted for 14 of the top 28 school, 8 of which are from the Corporate area vs 6 from rural. In total, they average 77.85%

Who are the top boys schools in Jamaica? Here's your answer!
Note that only a 6 of the 28 top schools in Jamaica are boys only though?
And all, except Munro are in Kingston! They average 75.84% this compared to 69.06% last year - a marked improvement. Note that the girls averaged 77.85%.

Co-Ed represents 8 of the 28 schools, and all, except Manchester High have showed improvements in their index scores this year! That includes Herbert Morrison that had a massive up!
This time Hampton took the top spot from Montego Bay High and again only one boys-only school (Munro) made the list. In total, they averaged 76.83, up from 74.04% the prior year.
And remember, these averages are the percentage of their total grade 11 cohort that achieved 5 or more subjects, inclusive of Mathematics and English at CSEC

Again, very, very, well done to the hard working teachers and administrators who engineered much of this, and to who are many times don't have the required resources or unrecognized.
And thanks again to Mr. Darby and the team at Educate Jamaica for the fantastic work.🙏
