For many, Jamaica is all about the scintillating beaches! We have dozens of pristine white sand beaches here my friend; from Holland Bay beach in the East (St. Thomas) to the amazing Negril 7-mile beach here in the West. Read more on beaches here.
No, its not just Dunn's River, we have many other captivating ones too, including the gushing Mayfield falls, the rustic Secrets falls, the romantic Reach falls, the serene Benta Falls, and many other hidden gems! More on our waterfalls here.

One of the beauty of a Jamaican vacation is the many options you have. You can choose to get lazy on a beach or raft, or get busy learning about some of our major historical sites, visit an old plantation or taking on an adventure - like cliff jumping? seriously :-) .
By the way, I'd love for us to stay in touch!

"Hi Wellesley, this is LaQuitta, I'd love to share this info with everyone I know, I've already told over 50 people i know. Someday I pray to visit Jamaica. Please continue to do your blog because I honestly can relax when I read it so thank you."

My favourite topic :-)
Well by now you know about Ja'can Jerk right? Or at least the Juicy Ja'can patties? You should!
But our cuisine extends much wider than those. When you get here be sure you try both the ackee and saltfish with roasted breadfruit or a J'can steamed fish with Okra!...yummm! Read more on Jamaican food here)
Have you been following track and field lately? If you were, then you don't need to hear about Jamaica's prowess from me right? Yes, You would've heard of one Usain Bolt too right?
J'cans stand out wherever they go and in whatever they do - even the few bad apples. :-) Read more on Jamaican sports here.
So what about about culture? Our motto "Out of Many one People" perhaps provide the perfect definition and insight into our culture.
That amalgamation has has made us special in so many ways. The areas of Food, Dance, Music, Folklore, Religion and Language have benefited tremendously from this amazing blend of cultures.
Reggae music is as synonymous to J'maica as the blue mountain coffee! We created, nurtured, promote and cherish reggae
here. Bob Marley, Jimmy Cliff and Prince Buster are notable
contributors to the popularity and success of this genre.
Of course, Bob Marley
became our best known ambassador. But Reggae is not our only music the
traditional folk and mento, are still highly cherished and favoured.
The tropical Caribbean climate facilitates our renowned diverse ecosystems. It shelters, nurtures and stimulates the beautiful plant and animal life here.
It's an often overlooked aspect of Ja's offering. Do take some time to 'smell the flowers' when you get here.
LAND AND BEAUTY
When all is said and done, you and I can probably agree that this country is just a darn beautiful place, wouldn't you? Yes it is.
Forget the beaches, sports, waterfalls and all I mentioned prior. Listen to this, I actually did a pop quiz here, asking about what makes JA special.
Well guess what was the result? Yup, most of the respondents checked "the people" - the warmth and sincerity of the Ja'can people. When all is said and done, the Ja'can people is what exudes the spirit of Jamaica the most.
By the way, take a quick read of these real travel stories, from visitors who have been here before.
