Yes, look closely at the picture above. He is in fact a double amputee, for over 40 years now and going strong!

His name, Winston Barr, a farmer, food producer, manufacturer, visionary and to many, an inspiration.
He hails from the quiet community of Maroon Town in rural St. James, from where he does his production.
I heard about him first on a morning radio program, and from that time, I knew I was destined to meet him.
His life is quite a story...
As a teenager, he was electrocuted by a high tension wire.
He was lucky, we can probably say, for him to be alive but they had to cut off both his arms. Yes, so badly were they that they had to be amputated!
And he'll tell you, he had a torrid time finding back himself, but he bounced back in a way unimaginable to many; not only making a (brand)name for himself and family, while contributing to the local economy, but also becoming an inspiration to many youth and adults alike (include me) - across the length and breadth of Jamaica.
I got the wonderful opportunity to speak with him and loved it!
After a brief farm and garden tour, we sat down in his kitchen and spoke about
Of course, I wasn't going to leave without asking him my favourite question (at the end of the video).
And here's the best part of my story today....
I have the video for you, via YouTube. The link is below as well. It's a video you absolutely cannot afford to miss.
So yes, there are many good men left. Winston Barr's dedication, commitment and passion is not only an example to young men, but a true testament to the Jamaican spirit. If you missed the video, please watch it here.
I hope his story (and live) inspires you as much as it did for me...
