So, the plan is to come to Jamaica and stay at a luxury resort, but you are looking for amenities that are a little more specific. Jamaica is big on comfortability and luxury so all-inclusive hotels are a dime a dozen. But some rooms and suites include more exclusive perks like; access to restaurants, lounges, and spas, to name a few.

Some hotels have taken it a step further by offering private pools too. Here are some of those options.

1. Sandals Resorts

If there is one thing that Sandals is known for, it’s creating new ways to enjoy luxurious vacations in the Caribbean. From introducing swim-up bars to the Caribbean, they have taken it farther to have swim-up rooms and now, rooms private pools are on offer.

The Sandals Royal Caribbean resort in Montego Bay has a private island with overwater bungalows all outfitted with their own private infinity plunge pools and many other celebrity level luxuries including a personal butler on call 24 hours a day! Not to be outdone, Sandals has three other Jamaican hotels with private pools, Sandals Ochi, Sandals Royal Plantation and Sandals Negril.

Sandals Royal Plantation offers the best of luxury and seclusion at the Villa Plantana, their 3-bedroom beachfront property. It has its own private driveway from the main hotel, each room has a private patio and includes the services of a chef, butler and housekeeper. Of course, after all that, it is only logical that it has a private pool as well. 

Sandals Negril has ground floor luxury suites with private patios that open from the living room to a garden, a miniature waterfall and a private plunge pool.

The Sandals Ochi Resort in Ocho Rios has private villa accommodations with private pools as well.

2. Royalton Negril Resort and Spa

For a little more privacy at Royalton Negril, stay in one of their penthouse suites instead. Not only does it give you the added seclusion you seek but the views of the Caribbean Sea are absolutely beautiful.

Now, imagine doing it from your private terrace with your very own private pool. Somehow I think that just makes it even more inviting. You can enjoy all the perks of staying at an all-inclusive resort without ever having to leave the comfort of your room unless you want to.

3. Trident Hotel - Port Antonio, Portland

Portland has always been known for its laid back charm and simple, refined luxury offerings. The Trident Hotel does not disappoint in that regard. If you want to be submerged into your own little world on your vacation, their 11 private villas are just perfect for that. Not only that, but some also have their very own private plunge pools, so you can swim in total privacy whenever you wish. Did I forget to mention that the pools are heated!

Jamaica Inn is often described as one of the most romantic resorts in Jamaica and I can hardly think of anything more romantic than your very own private pool. Some of their cottages offer private pools overlooking the Caribbean Sea.

Half Moon has a number of private villas on property that include private pools.

This resort is included on many lists, not just the one for Jamaican hotels with private pools, it is the perfect accommodation for a family (including children) or groups of friends or golfers as this resort boasts one of the best golf courses in the Caribbean.
