Kingston, Jamaica, may not be on the top of your bucket list for places to visit, nor is it a premiere tourist spot on the island. However, the capital city is the islandโs business hub and for many of us, it serves as the hub for entertainment, culture and history as well. So, if you are into having less of a beach vacation and one more rooted in culture, shopping, trying many restaurants and enjoying the nightlife, Kingston is the place for you. However, one question you may ask is, Is Kingston Jamaica safe?

Now, I am in no way suggesting that you go to these areas and throw caution out the window. A certain level of caution and necessary safety precautions apply anywhere you go. While the chances of you running into any danger is slim, the possibility of being a victim of low-end crimes such as petty theft still exists.
Here are some general tips to keep in mind when planning your visit to Kingston:
So, is Kingston, Jamaica, safe? Yes, yes it is. Unsure of how to start planning your vacation in Kingston? Here are some amazing places to stay, some of the best restaurants and amazing things you can do while you are there.
