Happy Birthday To... Me

Today, August 29, 2019 marks another special day in my life - another birthday - actually my birthday anniversary (but you know that's how we say it)!

And, like a child, I am super excited - especially after some rousing singing of birthday wishes from my baby daughter and text and messages from my siblings, family, friends, former classmates, community - and Dream Team!

And so, I am also eternally grateful to the almighty.

I typically don't go to the extent to write an a blog post about it, but this one is different.

Why?

Well, 2018 was a tumultuous time for me in many ways, career change, family challenges, health, and as some of you who are closer will remember, the tragedy last September, the 13th, which could have otherwise turned out fatal.

I remember it as two days after the US's September 11 and a day after Hurricane Gilbert memorial (12th). Sometimes I recollect and still get chills.

But god has been good great! He promised in Deuteronomy 31:8, that he'd never leave me nor forsake me- and he didn't!

So quoting three lines from our Jamaican artiste, Koffe's Toast, I earnestly say..

Cyaa bawl ina life man
Mi haffi thank God for di journey di earnings a jus fi di plus (yeah)
Gratitude is a must (yeah)

The journey for sure, and the earnings I am declaring :-) .

But all in all, my entire life has been an amazing journey and last year was just another enthralling chapter.

It will will go on record as be one of the most eventful, but also one of my most gratifying!

So, To God Be The Glory! As I look forward to this year, my best yet!

I must also say thank YOU for your love and continued support throughout this last year, whether it is in word, deed or wishes.

I pray that the creator of the universe blesses you twice as much as you bless me!
