Floyds Pelican Bar, Jamaica
Contest Entry #029 - Floyds Pelican Bar, Jamaica
We took a 2 hour drive from Negril to Parottee in St. Elizabeth Parish.
We stopped at Basil's Bar and for $20 USD the two of us boarded a small fishing boat and headed out to sea!
It only took about 10 minutes to get there. Our boat driver Michael pulled us up to the ramp and then parked to the side and waited for us to enjoy our experience. Upon arrival we ordered the fish and rice dinner.
We enjoyed watching them clean the fresh catch right in front of us as we enjoyed a cold Red Stripe Beer.
We met a super nice gentleman named Rasta Fray that took the time to talk to us about the Pelican Bar and the honeymoon suite as well.
We walked out on to the the barrier reef and swam while we waited for our food to be prepared. After eating our delicious lunch ( which you need to call and order ahead of time to make sure they have enough food for your arrival) we grabbed a Rum punch and headed for the lay out deck.
We spent hours just enjoying the serenity at Floyd's Pelican Bar. No electricity, no roads, no car and NO WORRIES! It's absolutely the best place on Earth!
