Excellence Oyster Bay is one of 5 luxury resorts from the family-owned and operated group, Excellence Collection. They have been in business for over 20 years and have locations in Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, and Mexico. Their very first resort was opened in 2000 in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

This signified the launch of their company and the beginning of their Excellence Resorts Collection. Their collections include Excellence Resorts, Finest Resorts, and Beloved Hotels. Each of their three collections of resorts has earned numerous and prestigious awards and recognitions over the last 20 years.

Is Excellence Oyster Bay an Adult-Only Resort?

Yes indeed, Excellence Oyster Bay Jamaica is an adult-only resort that was opened in 2018  located on a private peninsula surrounded by the ocean. It was awarded the prestigious Tripadvisor’s Traveller’s Choice Award in 2021.

Its romantic, private and luxurious atmosphere is perfect for couples looking to tie the know in a destination wedding or a honeymoon getaway. In fact, they will even help you put everything together!

What Airport Do You fly Into For Excellence Oyster Bay?

To get to Excellence Oyster Bay, you would fly into the Sangster’s International Airport in Montego Bay, St. James. How far is the resort from the Airport? It’s typically only a short 30 minute drive from the airport to the hotel.

Of course, you may also consider Kingston's Norman Manley International Airport (NMIA) but that could add another 2.5 hours of bus travel time.

How Many Rooms Does Excellence Oyster Bay Have?

Excellence Oyster Bay has 315 suites available for you to choose from. They have 3 different categories of suites. They are:

1. Excellence Suites
2. Excellence Club
3. Beach Villas with private pool

Some of the basic features of each suite are private balconies, minibar, room service, ocean or garden view, and housekeeping.

Along with the numerous suites, Excellence Oyster Bay offers 11 delightful restaurants, a spa, 4 pools, and 2 hot tubs, so you will have quite a few choices at your disposal. Here is a breakdown of some of what they have to offer you:

Restaurants - The Kitchen Table, Chez Isabelle, Oregano, Caribbean Grove, The Lobster House, Spice, The Grill, Jerk Hut Jamaican BBQ, Sports Bar and the two exclusive excellence club restaurants.

One of the best features of Excellence Oyster Bay’s all-inclusive resort is its Miilé Spa. Miilé Spa has a wide variety of lavish choices such as couples and single massages, body treatments, a full salon, hydrotherapy treatments, and mind and body rituals.

Covid 19 Safety

If you are worried about the Covid-19 pandemic, the resort has set in place a few special policies geared toward coronavirus prevention. They even provide Covid-19 testing for guests at an additional cost for those who who are interested.

• Having all guests' luggage sanitised before entering the lobby.
• Markers are placed in certain areas to ensure social distancing.
• Suites include an anti-Covid kit which includes masks, sanitiser, and wipes.
