- ...that the citrus, "Ugli Fruit", is also native to Jamaica?
The fruit was first bred in Brown's Town Jamaica in 1914, hybridizing a grapefruit and a tangerine. It got its name from the unsightly appearance of its rough, wrinkled, greenish yellow skin, wrapped loosely around the orange pulpy citrus inside. - ...that in sections of rural Jamaica, after the birth of a child, the placenta is buried?
A sapling is planted on top of it. That will eventually be awarded to the child and called the "baby tree".

How long have been around my-island-jamaica.com now? Are you familiar with my list of the Top 30 most famous Jamaicans. Well, that has caused me some problems though! I have gotten a lot of stick about the list. I've made a few edits, but now, I have added a new feature that allows my site visitors to recognize and share THEIR most famous Jamaican. That would include anyone they think has done exceptionally well for the country in his or her field of work?

This is brand new! After a few ad-hoc Job inquires on the website, I really felt obliged and decided to do someone about it. I've added this feature that allows job-seekers to post their job-wanted classified, for FREE! Also, I allow employers to post job openings as well.
