Another person might say "It's off the hook", but I'm gonna say "It's crazy" here now :-)(lol) By now you should know that we are following the 2012 Jamaican Olympic team with great pride and anticipation, but yes, it happens to coincide with the BIG Jamaica50 celebrations!! Just imagine the level of animation and thrill down here now! It's 'crazy'. So what do you know? Yes, much of this newsletter edition will be dedicated to Jamaica50 and the Olympics, but I had to find a spot to squeeze in some worthy recommendations from James Tuck, titled "How to Enjoy Jamaica in 2 Weeks" - Love it! 1. Jamaica50 Celebrations Gets In Gear

   As you can very well imagine, it's high anticipation here as we look forward to August 6th; Jamaica's 50th year of independence. Much of the hubbub has already started but it gets 'tun up' starting this Wednesday, August 1 my friend!

   Be sure the stay in the know and get updates from the official Jamaica50 website. From there you will also find links to happenings across the diaspora.

2. Olympic Excitement Fever Pitched

   What a time for the Olympics? It couldn't come at a more opportune time! Jamaica is expected to do very well again and it creates the perfect backdrop to the Jamaica50 independence celebrations here (and abroad). Wikipedia has a nicely formatted background on a feature called Jamaica at the 2012 Summer Olympics. It also shows the very latest in terms of medals.
